Summary:

Lucas Badd…the Baddest of them all, he’s patriarch of the clan, a man with the size and temperament of a grizzly bear whose past holds the keys to not only his own future, but also the way everyone connected to him will move forward as a family.

Who can tame a man this wild?

Olivia Goode. A widow, a mother, and a woman who is Lucas’s opposite in every way imaginable. If anyone can, it would be her, but the real question is whether she can move past her own tragedy to see the man beneath the grizzly bear exterior, and whether Lucas has the courage to face his demons and become the man he’s spent the last forty years pretending not to be.

My Thoughts:

This is the 12th book in the series and I’m completely invested, and I can’t get enough of the Badd Family.

This is one of the more emotional books in the series and I loved every minute of it. I was dreading the end because I didn’t know what was going to happen.

In the previous books we find out that Lucas is an alcoholic and very stubborn to say the least. He wasn’t much of a father to is 3 boys Roman, Remington, Ramsey. The history between Lucas and his twin brother has kept him away from Ketchikan Alaska, until now. He’s been sober a year plus and is hoping that he can make amends with his sons for all the time that he has lost. He works at a hardware store that keeps him busy. In Badd Daddy we see a new side to him. He suffered a terrible accident and he is still dealing with that.

Olivia is an interior designer that moved to Ketchikan to have a fresh start after her husband died. Her 5 daughters are all grown and living on there own all over the US. Lucas comes into her life one day when she is at the hardware while he is completely clueless on what paint he wants to get and making “fun” of the names. So, she offers to help him pick a colour.

The moment that Olivia and Lucas meet I knew that it was going to an amazing read. They had an instant connection and I loved every minute if this book. Lucas maybe a grizzly bear on the outside but on the inside, he is just a teddy bear at heart. Olivia is the perfect match for him, she’s got this sweetness to her but also firm when she needs to be.

These books can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading them all because the Badd men are ones you definitely want to read about.
