Summary:
Eighteen-year-old Brenna Whit is entering college as a freshman and starting to meet new people, but she hides a dark secret. Because of an accident that happened three years ago, her spirit wanders the Fade whenever she falls asleep. It’s something she wants to keep hidden from the world, but when she sees someone watching her in spirit form, she fears the secret’s out. With new friends, possibly new enemies, school, and a new crush, Brenna has too much to worry about for just her freshman year of college.
My Thoughts:
This book really intrigued me with the synopsis of it Brenna had died in a car accident and was only dead for a few minutes then the EMTs were able to bring her back. In the minutes that she dead she was in limbo or in the book is called Faze, when she wakes up, she can only re enter when she goes to sleep her spirit wanders around in the faze. There are Demons and Fairies in the story as well and the take that Lampkin to with this one is that the demons are the nice ones and the fairies are the ones you need to watch out for. I thought that was an interesting twist. On top of all that Brenna is a freshman in collage with a huge work load and is also trying to get on her own two feet.
Brenna is a wonderful character to read because I loved her attitude towards everything. She’s a strong female lead.
I loved this book and how the author took a unique twist with the ghost/spirit world. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book in the series.
