Katniss and her family live in District 12. Its never been easy for them since there father died. Katniss and her Sister Prim have to go reaping day because once a day the government choose two children from each family. They must also compete with the other 11 districts. Twenty four kids and teens enter the dome and only one will survive. When Prim’s name is called Katniss exchanges her self for her sister so that she doesn’t have to go. This is set in the future an it is kind of scary that one day that maybe the world will be like this.

Katniss is an amazing heroine, a female protagonist. She fights for the ones she loves an doesn’t need any one to save her she does it all on her own. I loved this love triangle and i rooted for Peeta all the way even though some times it maybe not have been obvious. When Peeta realized that he loved Katniss such an amazing thing. I don’t understand how they could kill Rue she was such a good person.
When Katniss and Peeta were talking about doing a double suicide i thought that was a genius idea because then no one would win,but they were both winners.
The ending when Peeta realizes that Katniss was just faking her feelings that was soul crushing for Peeta and me because i thought that she was being genuine. Boy was i wrong.
Not sure what else to say other than Katniss is bad ass an you should definitely read this book just to see how badass she is.
