Summary:

Peyton is called on a new case for her business, Soul Seekers—this one with a snooty council worker who doesn’t believe in her paranormal abilities. Yet as Peyton dares to cross the barrier between the real world and the funfair that closed down all those years ago, she finds it’s a battle that she can’t handle on her own…

As she and her friends battle the furious spirit housed under the big top, it’s a race against time as the temperature rises.

My Thoughts:

In this instalment Payton gets a call from a costumer that now owns her family home. She is shaken by the thought of having to go back because of things that happened when she lived there. In the mean time she gets another call about a haunted fair, which happens to be haunted by a angry ghost. There have been other ghostly things that have happened that as well. Jake is an amazing side character to Payton. I can’t wait to see where the relationship goes.

Summary:

After securing her first few cases with her new business, Soul Seekers, Peyton decides she needs a mini-break. Bringing her best friend, Olivia, on for a murder mystery tour on a moving train, she thinks she’s found a way to relax. Yet it doesn’t seem like relaxing was meant to be. As she finds herself trying to figure out how the woman in the compartment met her end in a grisly twist of events as well as battling for her life, her only salvation may be in the shape of a blast from the past…

My Thoughts:

Payton and Olivia take a vacation from there ghost hunting. They go on a murder mystery train and end up dealing with a horrible ghost. I loved that an old character re made an appearance in this one. I hope to see them stick around.

I am loving the adventures that Payton is going on. I can’t wait to see where her and Olivia end up next.

Summary:

Lucas Badd…the Baddest of them all, he’s patriarch of the clan, a man with the size and temperament of a grizzly bear whose past holds the keys to not only his own future, but also the way everyone connected to him will move forward as a family.

Who can tame a man this wild?

Olivia Goode. A widow, a mother, and a woman who is Lucas’s opposite in every way imaginable. If anyone can, it would be her, but the real question is whether she can move past her own tragedy to see the man beneath the grizzly bear exterior, and whether Lucas has the courage to face his demons and become the man he’s spent the last forty years pretending not to be.

My Thoughts:

This is the 12th book in the series and I’m completely invested, and I can’t get enough of the Badd Family.

This is one of the more emotional books in the series and I loved every minute of it. I was dreading the end because I didn’t know what was going to happen.

In the previous books we find out that Lucas is an alcoholic and very stubborn to say the least. He wasn’t much of a father to is 3 boys Roman, Remington, Ramsey. The history between Lucas and his twin brother has kept him away from Ketchikan Alaska, until now. He’s been sober a year plus and is hoping that he can make amends with his sons for all the time that he has lost. He works at a hardware store that keeps him busy. In Badd Daddy we see a new side to him. He suffered a terrible accident and he is still dealing with that.

Olivia is an interior designer that moved to Ketchikan to have a fresh start after her husband died. Her 5 daughters are all grown and living on there own all over the US. Lucas comes into her life one day when she is at the hardware while he is completely clueless on what paint he wants to get and making “fun” of the names. So, she offers to help him pick a colour.

The moment that Olivia and Lucas meet I knew that it was going to an amazing read. They had an instant connection and I loved every minute if this book. Lucas maybe a grizzly bear on the outside but on the inside, he is just a teddy bear at heart. Olivia is the perfect match for him, she’s got this sweetness to her but also firm when she needs to be.

These books can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading them all because the Badd men are ones you definitely want to read about.

Summary:

Gabe Maxwell is a powerhouse in the boardroom, a man with a dark past he’s buried under success and power. He’s not a white picket fence and forever kind of guy and he’s definitely not into redheads. That is until one corners him, kisses him and thanks him for waking her up. Right before she walks away and leaves him. She’s gone and he’s obsessed.

Then she walks into his office and back into his life, and he has to have her. It doesn’t matter that she’s the kind of woman you marry. It doesn’t matter that she’s everything he avoids because she’s everything he wants.

Only Abbie isn’t the good girl she seems. She has secrets and a past and soon, she’ll pull Gabe into her bed, her life, and that spells more than obsession. It spells danger.

Book one in the Dirtier Duet.

My Thoughts:

This is the first book that I have read by thus author and I really enjoyed it. I’m Defiantly going to have to look into her other work.

Gabe is a hot and mysterious lawyer. I fell in love with this character, there are things in his past that he just wants to leave there but there is a woman that he sees at a bar. They have an encounter that is pretty steamy.

Abigale (Abbie) used to be a lawyer but now she is helping her mom out at a farm taking care of dogs. She is also looking for Reid’s brother to help her with some serious/dangerous legal trouble. With him unavailable Gabe is the one that helps her out.

One of the things that got a tad on my nerves was all the times that Abbie wanted to run from Gabe. I mean I understand because of things in her past, but on the other hand how could you want to leave Gabe, he’s so hot and sexy and wanted to protect her by any means possible. I feel like if they just told one another in the beginning the secrets they both had that it wouldn’t have happened. But then it wouldn’t have made a good story. So, in retrospect I understand that. I just hated they were keeping such big secrets from one another.

Book 2 is Gabe’s POV and I can’t wait to dive into that one next. I also received that one as an ARC and my review for that one will be up in a few days.

Summary:

When you’re from a place like Clayton, PA, you either leave as soon as you can, or you never leave. We can’t even say we’re a one-stoplight town, because we don’t have a stoplight, just a traffic circle on a minor local highway. Here in Clayton, everyone knows everyone, and gossip and rumors are a way of life.

So, when my high school sweetheart leaves our son and me for a woman in another state, it’s the talk of the town for months, if not years. Even my motor-mouthed, wild child of a best friend, Cora, can’t rustle up enough trouble to keep my name off their lips for more than a week or two.

So, when I meet a handsome, single man not from Clayton, I assume he’s just passing through.

It was just supposed to be a night of fun with my BFF before school starts—one last hurrah before lesson plans and homework and packing lunches and school pickup lines take over everything. It wasn’t supposed to lead to an intense, sizzling connection—an attraction which despite my most vehement denials goes far beyond the physical.

The real question now is…will it end in another heartbreak for me and my son, or could it become a Happily Ever After?

My Thoughts:

I love that this was a second chance romance because Jamie and Elyse are people who need that. This book was very realistic which I think is amazing. Jasinda does that with such ease.

We meet Elyse who is a divorced single mom which has taken a tole on her. I love her son Aiden he has such a great sense of humour. Her best friend Cora takes Elyse out for a night and she happens to meet this smexy stranger.

Jamie has divorced recently and moved to Clayton because of his job. One night out he meets this amazing woman and when he wakes in the morning she’s gone.

When Jamie and Elyse meet a few days later after there night together, you can just feel the attraction between the two of them. They won’t be able to hold off for long.

I definitely recommend this to everyone. It was such a great quick read
