Rule No. 6: Don’t sleep with your brothers’ best friend.

Silas Sharpe is enemy number one—my biggest competitor and my brothers’ best friend.

Seeing an opportunity to “spy” on the offerings at Chesapeake Resort under the guise of attending a “friend’s” wedding, I took it, dragging my best friend and my brother with me.

When Silas cornered me in a utility closet during the wedding reception, I finally succumbed to the years of pent-up frustration and hate, giving in to my baser instincts.

This was supposed to be a onetime thing, but in true Silas Sharpe fashion, he refused to give up until he had the one thing that had eluded him for years—me.

He played the game well, offering me a chance to plan a high-end wedding at his resort—something I’d always wanted. But I refused to trust in the relationship growing between us, knowing that, as my competitor, Silas would capitalize on any moment of weakness, leaving me to pick up the pieces.

As time went on, Silas showed me that I could relinquish a little of the control I’d held on to for so long. That there was more to life than just work.

But what happens if I let go?

If I’m not careful, I’ll lose more than just my business to Silas. I’ll lose myself, too.

When you put two people that are competitive together things get interesting. Silas has always had a thing for Gia but being his best friend’s little sister makes her off limits. Gia has had a rough life having to always do things on her own with no family help. Gia being a wedding consultant checks out Silas’ wedding resort. While there she gets a job to work for him and that’s where things start to get a little tricky because Silas has always had feelings for her but now she is starting to feel a spark, working together could be the best or worst idea for them.

I’m the life of the party. A rockstar with a charming smile.
No one would ever know about the secrets I hide.
And I never intend to let them out.
Then Lake enters my life like a wrecking ball.
It was supposed to be a fling. Something to make the days go by while on tour.
But my heart has different intentions.
Until everything is ruined by her wicked lies.
I thought she was gone.
But when she returns, all our truths come to fruition.
And the lies between her and I may just ruin us.

This is a rock star romance which is one of my favourite tropes so I knew that I was going to like this but I wound up loving it. The lies, love, secrets and mystery were all keeping me on the edge of my seat waiting for the truth to come out.

MUST HATE DOGS
Do you hate dogs? Only want to talk about yourself? Is having a sense of humor something you’ve never been accused of? Think eating for pleasure is a complete waste of time? Agree that tipping is for suckers? Then you’re the date for me.

Dixon Beckett is the kind of guy who loves his mama, treats women right, and never ever wants to fall in love again. That’s why he’ll do anything to win a bet to be the last single man standing by Christmas.

He’s got a plan, too. Create the most no-good, horrible, very bad dating profile in existence. Only someone actually responds to his ad…

The rules say he has to go on six dates with the first (or in his case, only) person who answers—even if that person is Fiona Hartigan: Hater of dogs, non-lover of any delicious food, and zero sense of humor.

But something feels off about this pariah. In fact, Dixon is almost positive Fiona is just pretending to be awful. Pretending to be the most horrible date in existence. And she’s most definitely pretending to not be as interested in him as he is in her.

The more Dixon Beckett starts to unravel the mystery of why Fiona answered his ad in the first place, the more he starts considering the most vile, awful, terrible idea ever…falling in love.

This is the first book that I have by this author, and I have to say it was more then I had expected.
Dixon is CEO of Beckett Cosmetics, widowed and has vowed to never fall in love again because he doesn’t want to feel that kind of heartache ever again, but with this dare that he has going on with his cousins Griff and Nash he has to do it because he has to win this one last gift that his grandmother has left before her passing. He thought that it was going to be a piece of cake since he doesn’t want to fall in love ever again but once he meets a third-grade teacher named Fiona that changes everything for them both.
This book had me laughing and smiling from ear to ear. This was a great introduction to a new series and new author.

The boy who broke my heart is now the man who wants to mend it.

Jared was my everything until an ocean separated us and he abandoned me when I needed him most.

He forgot the promises he made.

Forgot the love he swore was eternal.

It was over before it began.

Now, he’s a hot commodity, universally adored, and I’m the woman no one wants.

Pining for a boy who no longer exists is pathetic. Years pass, men come and go, but I cannot move on.

I didn’t believe my fractured heart and broken soul could endure any more pain. Until Jared rocks up to the art gallery where I work, with his fiancée in tow, and I’m drowning again.

Seeing him brings everything to the surface, so I flee. Placing distance between us again, I’m determined to put him behind me once and for all.

Then he reappears at my door, begging me for another chance.

I know I should turn him away.

Try telling that to my heart.

This was a beautiful heartbreaking book of second chances. Jared and Sydney have known one another since they were young and knew they were going to be together forever except their family intervened and pulled them apart. Years later Jared was determined to not let Sydney go again since it had been so long. Jared and Sydney are the best of friends and first loves nothing was going to keep them apart. You take a roller coaster of emotions in this book and come to a beautiful stop at the end. This is only the second book that I have read by this author, I need to invest in more.

From New York Times Bestselling Author Kristen Proby comes an all new single dad, forced proximity novel in her beloved With Me In Seattle Series!

There are two things Maeve O’Callaghan values more than anything else: her family and her career. Being the eldest daughter in a large, close-knit and somewhat chaotic Irish family means spending most of her nights in the family-owned pub, serving drinks and food, always accompanied by a smile. During the day, she’s a superstar real estate agent, selling homes on her beloved island just across Puget Sound from Seattle. She doesn’t have time for much else, and she’s perfectly okay with that.

Enter Hunter Meyers. He’s looking for a new place to call home, somewhere out of the city, and believes life on the island could be just the thing for him and his troubled teenage daughter. While in search of finding the perfect house, his sexy realtor catches his eye, making him feel things he hasn’t in years. But with the added baggage of a surly teen and a past that will never be forgotten, how can he make something permanent with the gorgeous Irishwoman who tempts him like no other?

Maeve isn’t just attracted to Hunter with his killer grin and muscles for days. The teenager that tries so hard to push her away also pulls at her heartstrings. Maeve understands the importance of family, and can see herself making just that with Hunter and his daughter. But when his past comes back to haunt him, will their love be strong enough, or will they be ripped apart forever?

I love love love this series. This book was a great add to the series.
Flirt with Me is the perfect title to this book because the flirting in this book was well delivered.
I was waiting for this book to come out because I was dying to know what happened to Maeve and Hunter and it blew me away just like I thought it was going to.
