Summary:

This is the story of Louis, as told in his own words, of his journey through mortal and immortal life. Louis recounts how he became a vampire at the hands of the radiant and sinister Lestat and how he became indoctrinated, unwillingly, into the vampire way of life. His story ebbs and flows through the streets of New Orleans, defining crucial moments such as his discovery of the exquisite lost young child Claudia, wanting not to hurt but to comfort her with the last breaths of humanity he has inside. Yet, he makes Claudia a vampire, trapping her womanly passion, will, and intelligence inside the body of a small child. Louis and Claudia form a seemingly unbreakable alliance and even “settle down” for a while in the opulent French Quarter. Louis remembers Claudia’s struggle to understand herself and the hatred they both have for Lestat that sends them halfway across the world to seek others of their kind. Louis and Claudia are desperate to find somewhere they belong, to find others who understand, and someone who knows what and why they are.

Louis and Claudia travel Europe, eventually coming to Paris and the ragingly successful Theatre des Vampires – a theatre of vampires pretending to be mortals pretending to be vampires. Here they meet the magnetic and ethereal Armand, who brings them into a whole society of vampires. But Louis and Claudia find that finding others like themselves provides no easy answers and in fact presents dangers they scarcely imagined.

My Thoughts:

This was the first vampire book that I ever read an I really enjoyed it. It began my love of vampires. I wanted to know what other books that were out there had characters like ones in this book.

I would say that this book would be a great starting point for those who wants to read a vampire book but don’t know which one to read.

What I loved the most about this book was the bromance that was going on with Louis and Lestat. It was an undeniable connection. I felt like they loved one another.

I sadly can’t do a longer review because it has been so long since I have read this book. but I feel like you got the gist of it right? Maybe? No?

The Return of Ursula can be read as a stand-alone short story with no cliffhanger!

You can also read more about Dalton Deangelo and the sassy Peaches Monroe in Mimi Strong’s bestselling Peaches Monroe series. This short story takes place between the final chapters of Book 3, Starfire.

My Thoughts:

I laughed so hard reading this book. I loved how Peaches plays Ursula while she’s with Keith. When ever I need a good laugh I always come back to this book, and its not disappointed me yet.

This is defiantly one series that you need to pick up an check out.

Summary:

Peaches Monroe works at a bookstore in small town Washington. She’s also a plus-size lingerie model, and the former girlfriend of Dalton Deangelo. He’s the sexy, smoldering actor who plays TV’s hottest vampire.

Now Dalton is back in town, hiding out from his past and a ton of bad publicity.

He can’t keep his hands off Peaches, even though she’s dating someone else.

Peaches knows that being friendly with Dalton always ends up in complete disaster, but he does have an interesting proposal for her–a wedding proposal. He says a fake wedding will save his career, and he needs her.

As much as she’d love to run into the arms of the incredibly hot, deliciously sexy actor, she’s also afraid. He keeps hinting that he loves her, but he won’t say the words.

Even if he did profess his love, can you ever really trust an actor?

My Thoughts:

I am sad to say that my journey with Peaches is over, I felt like she had become of one my good friends that was dating a famous person. I loved how this series was about a BBW and that didn’t limit her to do the things that she wanted to do. She’s easily one of my favourite female leads.

Even after everything that she had gone though with Dalton and Keith she was still able to come out on top. She knows what she wants an goes an gets it.

If there is any take away from this series its that be happy with who you are, no matter if you thin or curvy the colour of your hair doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters Is the love that YOU have for yourself flaws an all an not be ashamed of who you are as a person. People will either love you or hate you and it shouldn’t be any sweat off your back. I feel like I could ramble on an on about how you need to have the confidence to live yourself, but I won’t bore you with that. So, I will leave you with this YOU shouldn’t give a FUCK what other people think of you.

Using her newly found strength and stealth, Laura goes deeper into the Angel world, and what she uncovers will bring her to her knees.

It will take all her powers to manipulate Gabriel into giving her what she wants, before the council votes for Jace’s death.

My thoughts:
Wow just wow! What an epic finale to such an amazing series. If you haven’t read the other books I highly recommend you do so you don’t get confused reading this one.

I loved that the tables had turned, and Laura must save Jase in this one and she does it in such a badass way. I know that if I’m ever in trouble I’ll just call her. I was bummed about one thing though, I wanted to know more about Laura’s Dad, with what we do find out is very interesting to the story, but I felt like it needed a little bit more back story. (maybe just me?) I also absolutely loved the ending Laura and Jase make me so happy that despite all the things they have come there way they still get a happy ending. Fleur has done such an amazing job with this series you should check it out.

I was gifted this book by the author in return for an honest review.

Summary:

Laura only wants one thing, and it’s the deepest darkest secret of her heart. When a mysterious man emerges from a fire in her backyard, can he be the key to unlocking the secret she guards so close? Or will his own secrets ruin her trust forever?

My thoughts:

I loved the fact that the main character has the same name as me, so it was like I was in the book. I also loved the power in knowing someone’s name that’s not something that I have read in books before. An I don’t really read books about angels not sure why, but I know I’m going to have to know. When Jase finds out everything about Laura and kisses her scars I thought that was the sweetest thing. Urban is not my favourite person I think he’s got to go lol the way he eats tortilla chips is just cringe worthy lol. So, when Laura stabbed him with the fork I was quite happy. The way it ends is such a cliff-hanger. I loves it and it makes me want to read the next one to know what happens right away.
