Summary:

Caleb is a man with a singular interest in revenge. Kidnapped as a young boy and sold into slavery by a power-hungry mobster, he has thought of nothing but vengeance. For twelve years he has immersed himself in the world of pleasure slaves searching for the one man he holds ultimately responsible. Finally, the architect of his suffering has emerged with a new identity, but not a new nature. If Caleb is to get close enough to strike, he must become the very thing he abhors and kidnap a beautiful girl to train her to be all that he once was.

Eighteen-year-old Olivia Ruiz has just woken up in a strange place. Blindfolded and bound, there is only a calm male voice to welcome her. His name is Caleb, though he demands to be called Master. Olivia is young, beautiful, naïve and willful to a fault. She has a dark sensuality that cannot be hidden or denied, though she tries to accomplish both. Although she is frightened by the strong, sadistic, and arrogant man who holds her prisoner, what keeps Olivia awake in the dark is her unwelcome attraction to him.

My Thoughts:

I read this book a while back and I just recently read on Facebook that it was going to be a movie. Which I can’t wait to see how they are going to put this on the big screen. I’m really interested to see who there going to get to play Caleb, I hope whom ever they pick he can do him justice. I feel like there’s a certain type of person that can play him. Its funny atm I’m typing this I can’t even think of one person that could… that’s sad.

I bought this book when it first came out because it was recommended to me after I finished a book and the synopsis of it sounded interesting. I knew it was going to be a dark read. Fast forward a few months and looking back on it, I held off reading it for so long because I was kind of afraid to read what was going to happen with Caleb when it was a child. I pulled though an read the book and now on to my review.

The main character Caleb made me love and hate him with such anger, it was funny because it was all in a matter of a few pages that I could be going back and forth with my feelings for him. Then there were some moments that I said WTF and others I just wanted to hug him and tell him that everything was going to be alright. Caleb had a twelve year revenge plan in the making. In doing so he kidnaps Livvie

Livvie has had a hard childhood with her mom feeling like she wasn’t loved by her. When it came to Caleb I get why she felt like she didn’t know what to do with her feelings. When she wakes up from being kidnapped she is terrified because she is tied to a bed in the dark and Caleb calls her “Pet” that’s one thing that annoyed me a little bit. And the fact that he wanted her to call him “Master”

After reading this, I honestly can’t wait to see what happens with the next book. Im just conflicted with my feelings on this because I was so back and forth with Caleb. This book was a total mind fuck for me. I cant even really say what I was feeling when I read this other then udder shock and amazement. I can’t imagine the book getting any better then it already was.

I think you should all check this book out for yourselves an see what you think about it. You may love it or you may hate it. If you enjoyed 50 shades of Grey then you may like this one, this just tends to actually be 50 shades but a lot better imo.

Summary:

Janesville, Wisconsin (cold in the sense that there is no God)
1994

“You’re going to find somebody so much better than me.”

“What? No, I’m not! Look at me! Are you insane?”

The worst thing that’s ever happened to Craig is also the best: Amy. Craig and Amy should never have gotten together-Craig is a Dungeons and Dragons master with no life skills and Amy is the beautiful, fiercely intelligent student body president of their high school.

Yet somehow they did until Amy dumped him. Then got back together with him. Seven times to be exact.

Over the course of their senior year, Amy and Craig’s exhilarating, tumultuous relationship is a kaleidoscope of joy and pain as an uncertain future-and adult responsibility-looms on the horizon.

Craig fights for his dream of escaping Janesville and finding his place at a quirky college, while Amy’s quest to uncover her true self sometimes involves being Craig’s girlfriend and sometimes doesn’t.

Seven breakups. Seven makeups. Seven of the highest lows and lowest highs. Told non-sequentially, acclaimed playwright Don Zolidis’s debut novel is a brutally funny, bittersweet taste of the utterly unique and utterly universal experience of first love.

My Thoughts:

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I have to say.. I really enjoyed it. There was also a little something at the beginning of the book before the chapter started an I kind of like that. I feel like some more authors should do that. This book was also set in the 90’s which is amazing. I liked that it was in Craig’s POV because its usually in a female POV, so it was nice to have a male one.

It was weird for me a little bit because the relationship between Amy and Craig felt real. Like you are going on he journey with them. I mean Amy and Craig are just trying to figure themselves out, so there on and of again relationship is relatable.

I really related to Craig’s awkward nerdiness. He’s sarcastic and has a great sense of humor, He is a Dungeons and Dragons fanatic.

Amy is class president and determined to show that nothing is going to hold her back for the things that she wants to do.

The constant breaking up and getting back together was relatable because I remember when I was in school there were kids doing the exact same thing. If not as often as Amy and Craig maybe more.

Summary:

Paige
Nearly five years ago, my mom, dad, and sisters were assassinated.
I should have died that night.
I still question my mental state because I had no proof those same killers were after me. Yet still, I’d been trying to outrun them.
Until I met him, Caleb Connor.
Caleb became my safety net and I found I couldn’t pull away from him. Couldn’t run away from him. And if sanity hadn’t been lost on me, I would have recognized he was the last person I should have let into my life.
The last person I should have trusted.

Caleb
My life has been anything but normal until Paige. She was supposed to be an opportunity, my father’s next target.
I should have stayed away. It should’ve been that simple. But it wasn’t.
Paige was my main ingredient to changing everything, and in order to do that I needed to get inside her head. It wasn’t easy but when it happened, a line was crossed we never knew existed.
Now Paige has to confront her past and everything that torments her at night, because a look into the past was the only solution to everything we’d been afraid of questioning.
Who am I, and who was she?

My Thoughts:

When I read the synopsis of this book I thought that this book sounds really interesting. Let me tell you it was. I was shocked that this is a debut book?! I can’t believe that. It’s insane.

After reading this book I think the Title fits the book perfectly

Paige’s entire family get murdered and now she’s living in hiding from the people that killed her family. In doing so she has closed herself off to everyone. Because of what happened to her she is now stronger than before.

When she meets Caleb that’s when things get a lot more interesting for Paige. I enjoyed reading the book a lot more when Caleb came in.

Caleb is a sweet guy who comes along and there’s something about her that he likes, even though he shouldn’t because his dad is keeping an eye on her.

Just when I think I have everything figured out I got thrown for another loop.

This book does end on a cliffhanger which is kind of a bummer but it leads into the next one nicely.

Summary:

TRIGGER WARNING: Boys will be boys is never an excuse.

It’s been two years since the night that changed Ashley’s life. Two years since she was raped by her brother’s teammate. And a year since she sat in a court and watched as he was given a slap-on-the-wrist sentence. But the years have done nothing to stop the pain or lessen the crippling panic attacks that make her feel like she’s living a half-life.

It’s been two years of hell for Derek. His family is totally messed up and he and his sister are barely speaking. He knows she partially blames him for what happened, and totally blames him for how he handled the aftermath. Now at college, he has to come to terms with what happened, and the rape culture that he was inadvertently a part of that destroyed his sister’s life.

When it all comes to a head at Thanksgiving, Derek and Ashley have to decide if their relationship is able to be saved. And if their family can ever be whole again.

My Thoughts:
Before I get into my review I have to say that this book has a trigger warning. So if you are unable to read books about rape then don’t read on.

Rape is not something that’s easy to write. I commend the author for taking on such a subject.

This book also happens to be told in different POVs popping back and forth between the past and present. It doesn’t just focus

Ashley is in high school as a freshman who was raped by a senior football player. From her brothers football team. Ashley had a crush on him, she gets to know him and they spend time together she also trusted him.

The thing that’s got me is that it was all because of a game What?! I have no words to that.

This book is so many different things wrapped into one. It’s raw, devastating and gut wrenching to read. There’s so many others that I’m feeling right now after finishing it but I honestly don’t know how to put it into words.

Rating: 5/5

Summary:

Just when you thought we had run out of Badd…

Meet Roman Badd, one of a set of triplets, each bigger and badder than the last. If you thought the original Badd brothers were sexy, foul-mouthed alphas, just wait till you meet these three sexy-as-sin, long-lost Badd cousins…

Roman is a smokejumper, an elite member of the US Forest Service who parachutes into the most rugged and remote terrain to combat out-of-control wildfires unreachable even by hotshots. He’s brash, domineering, and an expert at seduction.

Kitty Quinn is the exact opposite. The head server at Badd’s Bar and Grille, she’s the daughter of a philosophy professor and a kindergarten teacher: sweet and kind, and with a persona of innocence and purity—catnip for the ravenous lion that is Roman Badd. She knows she’s in way over her head with him, but this good girl has enough inner strength and confidence to stand up to Roman’s hard-charging, take-what-he-wants attitude.

Can she get past his foul mouth and unapologetically rapacious sexual appetite to the good, kind man she wants to believe lurks beneath, or is Roman Badd as wild and untamable as the fires he fights?

My Thoughts:
Oh my gosh!!! The Badd family is at it again.

In the last book Badd Boy we got a sneak peak into Badd Kitty an I was excited to see what was going to happen. We get to see another 3 Badd family members who are triplets that are the brothers cousins

Kitty and Roman were perfect for one another with there own sassyness. There connection was undeniable, I couldn’t get enough of it.

I loved Kitty, she was a woman that knows what she wants an gets it. I loved her roommates they had me laughing out loud.

Roman, Roman, Roman… he was a cocky asshole and I loved reading his POV. Especially when he first meets Kitty. When he started to open up to her about his feelings was what made me love him more, I understood why Kitty was falling for him.

You definitely need to pick up this series if you haven’t read it yet because the Badd men are some of sexiest assholes you will read, Except book 8 Badd Boy Xavier is a wonderful story.
