Summary:

In Jace’s past, love never met a natural death, always ending with betrayal, violence, and abandonment. When he meets Laura, a spark of hope emerges that he’s finally found someone he can love.

However, Jace’s decision to be with her ignites a series of events that explodes around their sheltered world. When Laura is kidnapped, Jace realizes that his past has come back to torment him. His search for her leads him to a unit of Fallen Angels, bent on creating a terrorist cell in their small town and is headed by the very woman Jace himself spurned in the past. Jace must race against time to save their small town from going to hell, but will he be able to keep Laura safe at the same time?

My thoughts:
The book starts off a little after the first one you don’t really miss anything in between. Which is nice.

Laura is kidnapped, and it is Jase’s mission to find her and protect her. This book was action packed to say the least. You keep turning the pages to see what happens before you get there because you want to know what happens.

Jase is from Canada just like me I thought that was awesome. My name also being Laura, so it was like I was in the book lol

I didn’t like cherry in the first book an I didn’t like him even more in this one. I also didn’t like Urban in the first one but now I feel like he has kind of redeemed himself in a way.

Ok can we talk about the last chapter?! That cliff-hanger?! Why?! Oh, my goodness it’s just too much I need to get the 3rd book now so I can know what happens. Lol

I was gifted this book by the amazing author for an honest review

Summary:

My name is Melody Greene, and I have a confession to make.
I slept with my student, a senior in high school.
Multiple times.
I had multiple orgasms.
In multiple positions.
I slept with my student and I enjoyed it.
I slept with my student and I’d do it all over again if I could turn back time.
My name is Melody Greene, and I got kicked out of my position as a teacher and did my walk of shame a la Cersei Lannister from the principal’s office, minutes after said principal threatened to call the cops on me.
My name is Melody Greene, and I did something bad because it made me feel good.
Here is why it was totally worth it

My thoughts:

I didn’t read this book first but If I had OMG this is an epic novella. You get sucked into the book from the first chapter. I read this book in a day and I absolutely loved every minute of it. L.J Shen has this god given gift that lets her write amazing alpha males. I can’t wait to see what else she writes. I do know that am going to have to read all her work now.

Melody is a teacher at a high school, her students are always misbehaving and not paying attention to her in class when she is teaching. It also doesn’t help that the principle is a complete bitch.

Jamie who happens to be the principal’s son. He’s part of the FHH an also an asshole but he’s an asshole that you defiantly fall in love with in just a few short pages. Jamie says what he thinks and doesn’t hold back. He’s also impatient which makes some of the scenes that they have pretty intense.

Reading this book at the start it may seem little wrong because it ha to do with a teacher and a student but by the end of the story your hungry for more.

Summary:

They call him The Mute for a reason.
Hard, cold and calculated, he rarely speaks.
When he does, it’s with disdain.
When he does, his words aren’t meant for me.
When he does, my stomach flips and my world tilts on its axis.
He is thirty-three.
I am eighteen.
He’s a single dad and my father’s business partner.
I’m just a kid to him and his enemy’s daughter.
He’s emotionally unavailable.
And I am…feeling. Feeling things, I shouldn’t feel for him.
Trent Rexroth is going to break my heart. The writing isn’t just on the wall, it’s inked on my soul.
And yet, I can’t stay away.
A scandal is the last thing my family needs. But a scandal is what we’re going to give them.
And oh, what beautiful chaos it will be

My thoughts:

L.j Shen has done it once again. This book is just as captivating as the others. I couldn’t put it down. I had had read this book in one sitting, I’m slightly disappointed that I did because it didn’t want Trent’s Story to end. I can’t believe that this is only the 3rd book in the series. With every book I keep getting blown away.

Trent is part of The FHH and he has a relationship with his business partners daughter Evie and she is half his age. That didn’t really bother me, I know that it may bother some. What bothered me was that Evie’s father was a horrible man. He got on my nerves so much when I read this.

Trent is known as The Mute and its for a reason. When he’s with Evie she brings out another side of him and its amazing to see his relationship un fold. Evie is young yes, but she is being through a lot, so she was more mature for her age.

I think that Evie may have turned into one of my favourite female leads in this series. She’s Strong, mature beyond her years and determined.

I really recommend this series to everyone. You won’t regret it.

Summary:

After a Vampire Tracker Marks her with a crescent moon on her forehead, 16-year-old Zoey Redbird enters the House of Night and learns that she is no average fledgling. She has been Marked as special by the vampyre Goddess Nyx and has affinities for all five elements: Air, Fire Water, Earth and Spirit. But she is not the only fledgling at the House of Night with special powers. When she discovers that the leader of the Dark Daughters, the school’s most elite club, is mis-using her Goddess-given gifts, Zoey must look deep within herself for the courage to embrace her destiny – with a little help from her new vampyre friends (or Nerd Herd, as Aphrodite calls them

My thoughts:

I read this book eons ago and I did and didn’t enjoy it because, Zoey did get on my nerves a fair bit as did her best friend. There was also a lot of slut shaming and some homophobic things that were being said. That was one of the down falls for me. Another one or me was how they spelled Vampire… why you have it spell it with a “Y” that drove me insane reading the book because I thought that it was a spelling mistake at first. When I kept seeing it I realized that It wasn’t, and it drove me nuts.

Another thing that got me was when Zoey said, “She wasn’t skinny like those freaks who puke and starve themselves” BITCH what? I got so mad that I tossed my book. I mean I know that it’s a book an all but the people reading the book have feelings an deal with that type of stuff all the time. I’m not one of them but I have known a lot of people that have struggled with that and it just made me so mad reading that. Now a day there’s trigger warnings for YouTube so they should also have that for books because I have read some intense stuff that would upset certain people.

All in all, Zoey is such a hypercritical bitch because some of the things that she says is just down right stupid and will enrage you to maybe even turn into the hulk and want to smash things.

Summary:

Elizabeth prepares to win her dragons. Finally. She vows to wrest her men from Sophia’s clutches even if it means battling one of the strongest dragons of the race. Even if she must fight as a human.

Sophia has left her no choice.

The battle lines are drawn.

During her preparations, her protective shifters desperately search for any weaknesses to shift the balance of power in Elizabeth’s favor. What they discover may be the darkest secret of them all.

Can they find the person who holds the key to destroying Sophia in the arena in time? Will Elizabeth be able to keep a hold onto all the men who have grown so close to her heart?

My Thoughts:

Omg! All the things that Lizzy / Elizabeth goes though and has to face in this book, she does it amazingly well. She kicks some major butt. I’m glad that she didn’t use her full powers because I feel like that should be a final book thing. I think that would make for an epic finale.
