Summary:

But she’s about to discover that some secrets can change your life forever…and not always for the better.

Just when she and Lucas are finally getting close, she learns that his pack has forbidden them from being together. Was it a mistake to pick him over Derek? And it’s not just romance troubling Kylie. An amnesia-stricken ghost is haunting her, delivering the frightful warning, someone lives and someone dies. As Kylie races to unravel the mystery and protect those she loves, she finally unlocks the truth about her supernatural identity, which is far different–and more astonishing–than she ever imagined

My thoughts:

This series just happens to keep getting better and better. The love triangle is becoming an issue because Kylie isn’t sure who she wants to be with. Which I’m loving to read about. Kylie decided that she wanted to be with Lucas but there some issues with that because of his pack. I still think that there a great couple. I know that some people are team Derek an team Lucas just like Edward and Jacob from Twilight.

I loved how this story unfolds. I got pulled into the story quickly even with in the down time with each book. This book at the right amount of everything that you look for in a book, emotion, mystery, tension and laughs.

From the moment Kylie Galen arrived at Shadow Falls Camp, she’s had one burning question: What am I? Surrounded by vampires, werewolves, shape-shifters, fairies and witches, Kylie longs to figure out her own supernatural identity…and what her burgeoning powers mean. And now she’ll need them more than ever, because she’s being haunted by a new spirit who insists that someone Kylie knows—and loves—will die before the end of the summer. If only she only knew who she was supposed to save. And how…

But giving Kylie the most trouble is her aching heart. Gorgeous werewolf Lucas left camp with another girl, but he’s still visiting Kylie in her dreams. And Derek, a sexy half Fae who’s always been there for her when she needed him, is pushing to get more serious—and growing impatient, especially when Lucas returns. Kylie knows she needs to decide between the boys, and it’s tearing her up inside.

Yet romance will have to wait, because something from the dark side of the supernatural world is hiding in Shadow Falls. It’s about to threaten everything she holds dear… and bring her closer to her destiny.

My thoughts:

I was surprised at how much I loved this book. I thought that the first one was great but this one, it as even better.

With kylie still not knowing what supernatural that she is she is a little frustrated, but her friends Della and Miranda are there to help her. She also has Holiday and Bennet who are like the principals of the school. There is a great influence on the kids, they are together but that doesn’t interfere with the kids.

I came more to love Kylie in this book. She was a great main character in this book. With all the thing that she goes threw you can fee like you are there with her. It was nice an refreshing t read.  I realized reading this that Kylie is just like any other normal teenager that’s trying to find themselves.

With the way that this story is unfolding this book was I have to say that its defiantly worth the read.

Summary:

There is no rehearsal for true love.

But now, eight months later, after a whirlwind romance, Taryn wakes up in Ryan’s Hollywood hotel room to find a diamond to die for on her left ring finger—and her face splashed across the cover of every gossip magazine.

Ryan’s very public proposal is catnip to the tabloids, his management team is worried, and Taryn must figure out how a small town girl like her fits into his glittering world. What does it take to make a relationship work amidst telephoto lenses, daily on-set temptations, and jealous fans who will stop at nothing to keep you from walking down the aisle with the man of your dreams?

With no script to follow and no chance for a dress rehearsal, Taryn and Ryan will be forced to take the plunge and risk everything to make their love last.

My thoughts:

This book made me extremely happy. I loved how both Ryan and Taryn had learned from there mistakes and they had become better people for it. And let’s face it, not everyone is perfect not madder how hard we try.

Ryan is on my book boyfriend list even if he wasn’t a movie star. He’s still an amazing love interest. And despite all the woman that were throwing them self Ryan he still made the time for Taryn and show her that she was the only one for him.

Just like the first book Taryn is a great female lead. She does an amazing job at not letting Ryan’s fame get to her. She was able to be part of his world with perfect ease.

This book left me with such a smile on my face, this book also has me laughing and crying. Its completely swoon worthy. I couldn’t be happier with the ending.

I am patiently waiting for the last book to come out. I hope that it is some time soon. I really want to know what happens. (crossing my fingers)

Published: March 2012

Genre: YA, Fantasy

Rating: 3.5/5

Summary:

Hailed as “impossible to put down,” the Hex Hall series has both critics and teens cheering. With a winning combination of romance, action, magic and humor, this third volume will leave readers enchanted.

Just as Sophie Mercer has come to accept her extraordinary magical powers as a demon, the Prodigium Council strips them away. Now Sophie is defenseless, alone, and at the mercy of her sworn enemies—the Brannicks, a family of warrior women who hunt down the Prodigium. Or at least that’s what Sophie thinks, until she makes a surprising discovery. The Brannicks know an epic war is coming, and they believe Sophie is the only one powerful enough to stop the world from ending. But without her magic, Sophie isn’t as confident.

Sophie’s bound for one hell of a ride—can she get her powers back before it’s too late?

My thoughts:

The friendship that Sophie and Jenna have has turned into something amazing. There friendship is full of laughter and everything that you would want in a friendship.

With everything that has happened in this book I have to say that it may be my least favourite because of a certain part of the book. Aside from that it was good.

Sophie, Jenna, Archer and Cal are an amazing foursome. They really get you into the book and make you feel like you’re in the book with them.

If you have gotten this far in the series, then you may not like this last one, but it is defiantly worth the read.

Genre: YA, Fantasy

Rating: 3.5/5

Summary:

Three years ago, Sophie Mercer discovered that she was a witch. It’s gotten her into a few scrapes. Her non-gifted mother has been as supportive as possible, consulting Sophie’s estranged father—an elusive European warlock—only when necessary. But when Sophie attracts too much human attention for a prom-night spell gone horribly wrong, it’s her dad who decides her punishment: exile to Hex Hall, an isolated reform school for wayward Prodigium, a.k.a. witches, faeries, and shapeshifters.

By the end of her first day among fellow freak-teens, Sophie has quite a scorecard: three powerful enemies who look like supermodels, a futile crush on a gorgeous warlock, a creepy tag-along ghost, and a new roommate who happens to be the most hated person and only vampire student on campus. Worse, Sophie soon learns that a mysterious predator has been attacking students, and her only friend is the number-one suspect.

As a series of blood-curdling mysteries starts to converge, Sophie prepares for the biggest threat of all: an ancient secret society determined to destroy all Prodigium, especially her.

My thoughts:
I read this book in one sitting. I totally loved it. The first few chapters I had a hard time getting into it but once I did I couldn’t put it down. A girl named Sophie is sent to a reform school for people that have magic powers, kind of like Hogwarts but at this school there is all the magical beings that you can think of. Sophie is sent to this school so that she can learn how to harness her powers. Sophie is an amazing female lead she’s powerful, sarcastic, sassy and brave. I found my self laughing at the things that she says. If you like fantasy rom-com then this is the book for you.
