Summary:

Nikki Elliot is running out of time. After a season and a half of struggling to rebuild her racing career thanks to a near-fatal accident, she is faced with the ugly truth: it’s going to take a miracle for her to make her lifelong dream of racing in Formula 1 a reality. The trouble is, Nikki doesn’t believe in miracles. When Fate sends her help in the form of a quiet, sexy mechanic, Nikki realizes that miracles do happen: the ones you hope for and the ones you least expect. But just as things look like they’re falling into place, Nikki discovers that miracles come at a steep price.
Luck has never been on Jake Masercotti’s side. That is until a chance encounter reunites him with his angel—the woman who unknowingly saved his life years earlier. And now that he’s found her, he’ll do whatever it takes to repay her for that gift, even it means risking his life–or worse, his heart–in the process.
Brought together by tragedy years before, and reunited under dangerous circumstances, will Jake and Nikki find love and happiness, even when a danger they never see coming reaches the-redline?

My Thoughts:
When I first saw this book cover I absolutely loved it because it reminded me of Lucas from Tammara Webber’s book Easy. So I knew I had to instantly read this to see if the guy was going to be anything like Lucas. He was an I loved it.

This book follows a guy named Jake and he has had a rough life with his mom committing suicide at the age of 12. He has a younger brother named Dario whom he doesn’t have custody of because of some of the choices that Jake as made. Every Sunday he would go an visit his moms grave. Which just breaks my heart. He works for an auto mechanic even though his true passion is taking photos.

Nikki is a race car driver an I loved that she was because it’s usually the men that are. So I loved the role reversal. She has a fatal accident an since then she is trying to rebuild her career because her family doesn’t want to support her, even though racing is something she has always dreamed of.

I loved that there was a mafia aspect to this story. I have read one other series that did an I loved the extra something that it adds to the story.

Summary:

Jameson
I let her slip through my fingers…
No, that’s a lie. I was reckless and pushed her away.
I was never supposed to fall for her. She was my tutor. My best friend. My fantasy. I tried to stay away. I failed.
Then we graduated and everything changed. All I needed was a step back. A moment to breathe… And by the time I came up for air, she was in the arms of another man.
Four years later, everything is different. And when I see her again, I remember why I should have never let her go in the first place.

Lyric
It started on day one…
New school. New life. And there he was, the boy I grew up with, walking up the steps of my very first class. Except now, the boy from my memories was gone, and his place was an Adonis of a man.
It didn’t take much for me to fall for him. Even though I knew we were doomed from the start. But when you find something that perfect, you don’t second guess it.
Until it ends.
Four years later, he’s back. Steamrolling through my life like he never broke my heart to begin with. Only this time, I’m older, wiser and know that second chances are the stuff of fairytales.

My Thoughts:

I absolutely adored this book. I didn’t want to finish it. I wanted to stay in the world of Jameson and Lyric.

They grew up together, they met in their kindergarten class. This happen, and they went their different ways and meet up again in collage. There relationship begins when they are in the same class and Jameson askes her to help him study. When he didn’t need the help he just wanted to spend time with her. As time goes on their feeling begin to deepen and they try to deny it. At Christmas break there stuck at Jameson’s place because there is a big storm coming, that’s when their relationship starts to develop into something that I can only explain as wonderful. There relationship does have its ups and downs because they end up spending months apart due to there jobs. I loved how realistic it was.

4 years pass, and Jameson has a ton of regret, Lyric had shed a lot of tears. The big question is can Jameson prove to Lyric that he made a mistake? Can Lyric forgive him? You’ll have to read it and find out.

This is my first book that I have read by Saman and I don’t think that it will be my last. She made these characters feel real and they had there flaws just like everybody.

Summary:

Peyton is beginning a new chapter in her life. Abstinent and coming to accept herself, she is finally conceding to her ability.

Now that Peyton has chosen to see her powers as a gift, she is open to the possibility of change all around her.

Peyton knows she can’t stick to working her part-time job at the solicitor’s for much longer, so when an opportunity presents itself, despite being warned to stay away, she can’t resist who she is meant to be…

My Thoughts:

I loved being able to dive back into Peyton’s head like I hadn’t missed anything. She’s now working at her friend’s law office as an assistant. One day that she’s at work she over hears that there’s a possible chance of a haunting which peaks her interest. Adele is such a sweet friend to Peyton, I hope we get to see her more in the series to come.

With everything that is going on in Peyton’s life with the ghost’s and powers that she’s trying to harness and keeping her sobriety, I find that she’s handling it really well.

I loved that Alice was able to suck me back into Peyton’s world in a matter of pages. This story keeps getting more an more interesting. I can’t wait to see what happens for Peyton. I know that I’m going to be eagerly waiting to see.

Summary:

Bane
Naked surfer. Habitual pothead. A con, a liar, a thief and a fraud.
Last I heard, he was extorting the rich and screwing their wives for a living.
Which is why I’m more than a little surprised to find him at my threshold, looking for my friendship, my services, and most puzzling of all—looking humbled.
Thing is, I’m on a boycott. Literally—I cut boys from my life. Permanently.
Problem is, Bane is not a boy, he is all man, and I’m falling, crashing, drowning in his sweet, perfect lies.

Jesse Carter
Hot as hell, cold as ice.
I wasn’t aware of her existence until a fat, juicy deal landed in my lap.
She’s a part of it, a little plaything to kill some time.
She is collateral, a means to an end, and a side-bonus for striking a deal with her oil tycoon stepdad.
More than anything, Jesse Carter is a tough nut to crack.
Little does she know, I have the teeth for it.

*This book contains material that might be offensive for some or elicit a strong emotional response.

My Thoughts:

Holy fuck. This series was amazing. I can’t believe that its over. L.J Shen has defiantly a way with words. She writes the perfect asshole guy. I’m so glad that my friend Jessica introduced me to her. All of Shen’s books that I have read just keep getting better and better. I can only imagine what she can write next.

Out of all the men in this series I think Vicious and Bane were toe to toe. I’m not sure I’m able to pick one that’s “better”. I don’t think I’m able to do that. So, to saw there are one in he same is good for me. Bane is just ughh I don’t even think I can put into words how I feel about him.

We first get to meet Bane (Roman) in Scandalous and when I first read about him I KNEW I needed to get more. Bane wants to make his dreams come true and he needs money to do that, since he’s not like the rest of the Sinners. So, he has to do some “dirty work” to get the money. Bane made me so happy.

Jessie is a beautiful amazing match to Bane. Even at the young age of 19 she has had a lot of weight to carry on her shoulders.  Their story was amazing to read and how they came together. I loved to see them together, even though there meeting wasn’t the greatest. I still think that it fit the story perfectly.

They both have had some struggles in their life since they were kids, which broke my heart. The sexual tension that was going on with these two felt like it was coming off the pages.

The way the story ended blew me away. I didn’t see that coming at all.

If you haven’t read this series yet.. you NEED to read it.

Summary:

My dad always said you can’t run away from your problems, but I’m sure as hell going to try. And where do you go when you’re trying to escape life? You go to Europe. Or Scandinavia to be exact, because Scandinavia does have the hottest guys. Have you seen Thor? I’ve got my bucket list and I’m ready to live life to the fullest. Go abroad where no one knows my past? Check. See the sites? Check. Hook up with a Scandinavian Hottie? Check.

Despite the threat of my past hanging over my head, everything is going great…until Scandinavian Hottie wants to get serious. It was never my intention to take things to the next level. After all, I don’t want to hurt him when he finds out the truth. However, the more time we spend together, the harder I fall, and in the end I’m not sure if it’s his heart or mine that’s going to end up broken

My Thoughts: After reading The Fault in Our Stars I got a new approbation for books that had dealt with cancer. When I noticed that this book was on Netgalley I wanted to read it.  Hope is a 19-year-old that has terminal cancer, I don’t think it says what one she has. (could be wrong) and she has finally come to terms with it because the medication wasn’t helping.  She finally convinces her mom that she wants to go to Scandinavia for a for a few weeks she wants to see where her dad was from, She also wants to be able to get a few things off of her bucket list. While she’s in Copenhagen, Hope begins to make friends, but they don’t know that she’s ill. While she’s there she becomes friends with a guy name Christian and I found them to be really likeable. There completely different people and because of that they make the perfect couple. Christian is a guy that is caring, understanding and a romantic. I loved how he was with Hope.  While reading this I did got a feeling that it was like A Walk to Remember and The Fault in Our Stars. If you loved those books then you will love this one too.  I loved that there was a HEA because a book with cancer it can go either way. At the end of the book there is an author note and she says that there’s going to be 2 more books. I can’t wait to read those. *I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. *
