A dream wedding, a bride with cold feet, and the mountain man that comes to her rescue.

I never thought that, on my wedding day, I would literally bolt from my wedding, and into the arms of a grumpy mountain man. Emmett offers me a much-needed respite from the chaos, inviting me into his cabin to “hide out” until all the wedding guests leave. But I never think that we will get stuck together for days in the one-bed cabin during a major snowstorm, completely cut off from the outside world.

We go sledding and build snowmen, and he even takes me to cut down a Christmas tree for his cabin—something I’ve never done in my entire life. It’s magical, like time is suspended.

I fall hard and fast for him, but when the snow stops and the roads have been cleared, we have no choice but to return to reality. I need to deal with the fallout from my failed wedding, and if I want the head wedding planner position my boss offers me, I have to convince Emmett and his family to allow more holiday weddings to be held on his farm.

Emmett is adamantly against it, and our relationship only complicates things. If I don’t push this, I might lose my job, but if I do, I might lose the only man I’ve ever truly loved.

Will I finally get my Christmas wish and get everything I’ve ever wanted? Or will this go down as one of the worst holiday seasons on record?

This is the perfect book to get you in the Christmas season. It has a Scrooge for a tree farmer and a runaway bride after finding out that her husband is cheating on her the day of her wedding. Ireland needs a place to hide from calling off her wedding, so she heads to a Christmas tree farm where she meets Emmett. As they get to know one another Emmett takes her on adventures that she couldn’t have growing up. As Emmett’s hard outer shell starts to crack the walls that Ireland had put up, they start to come down piece by piece and have a beautiful love story.

Going home for my last winter break of college had the same feel as the year my parents told me Santa was fictional; the daunting real world loomed too close without a childish safety net.

Working on our family Christmas tree farm is supposed to be a final, blissful reprieve before adulthood. Or it would have been, if my brother’s best friend didn’t return for his first festive season in our hometown in almost four years.

Why did Mercer Russell stay away in the first place? Oh, well that would be because I broke his heart. High school sweethearts never last, or so they say, so I destroyed us before long distance and university drama ever could.

Now that the soccer star destined for one of the best professional teams in the country is home for one last holiday hoorah, it’s clear I’m still on his naughty list … and not in the good way. Between hauling Douglas firs, helping families select their perfect tree, and assisting my mom on the register, Mercer hasn’t lost any love for those he grew up with. Except I might as well be a lump of coal with the way he glowers at me.

With the past lurking around every corner and our futures uncertain, giving into the burning attraction that could torch a row of spruces would be the worst idea ever. Then again, a fling under the mistletoe might be just the closure we need to extinguish this spark for good.

After all, it would take flying sleigh-level magic to turn a cuffing season hookup into a healing happily ever after … right?

With Christmas right around the corner, this is a perfect book to get you in the Christmas mood. Mercer and Emily are back in town to help the family’s Christmas tree farm. They have a history together dating back to high school and ended their relationship due to the distance and haven’t seen one another in three years. Getting to see them reconnect and weave through some of the struggles they have and be able to have a happy ending was wonderful to see.

Dear Sneaky Santa,

I’d like to have a word about your sense of humor. Was it really necessary to stick me, a professional hockey player nursing an injury and avoiding the media, in an isolated cabin with a bratty, boot-designing princess who seems to have made it her mission to despise me? I mean, come on, what did I ever do to you?

And let’s talk about our first encounter. Was it your intention for her to barge in on me while I was enjoying a soak in the tub? It wasn’t exactly my finest moment, and I’m sure she didn’t appreciate the view of my massive body floundering around as I tried to grab a towel.

Now, I’m stuck with her, thanks to a mutual acquaintance, in the middle of a snow blizzard, navigating through bear attacks, sketchy neighbors, and whole lot of tension. I had plans, Santa, plans to escape to Cabo and forget about the world, not to be trapped with a woman who thinks I’m unworthy of her time just because she can’t stand hockey players.
Oh, and speaking of our delightful Iris, she’s stingier with her food than Scrooge was with his pennies! I’m not asking for a feast, but a guy’s got to eat! And could you possibly turn her yippy dog into a reindeer or something? It would certainly add to the Christmas spirit and save my eardrums.

I’m trying to rediscover the meaning of Christmas, and you throw me into this chaos? Is this some kind of test, or are you just having a jolly laugh up there in the North Pole?

So here’s my Christmas wish, Santa: sprinkle a bit of your magic and either get me out of here or be a Cupid and ignite a fiery, undeniable passion between us, because right now, this scenario is frostier than a snowman.

Slapshotting Through the Snow, Kyler Blanchette

Iris and Kyler meet at a cabin up in the mountains when a blizzard keeps them stuck there. Iris is there because her brother couldn’t go, she went in his place. Kyler is there wanting to get some peace and quiet. From the start these two start off with not liking one another until something along the way changes and they have great banter and cute Christmas love story.

Ethan

I’ve got my hands full.

Running for mayor of my home town in Colorado. Trying to save the family business—and doing my best to survive Christmas without murdering my brother. Nowhere on this list is room for Lexie to show up a year after our epic one-night stand.

Vegas show girl, owner of the meanest dog I’ve ever met, and the star of every fantasy I’ve had since I came home. And apparently… my wife? And she wants me to sign divorce papers.

Hell no.

Lexie

I do not get drunk married. That’s what tourists do in Vegas, not locals. But even I am susceptible to gorgeous eyes and an excellent jaw line.

I was so sure Ethan was different from the jerks I usually fall for, until I woke up married without a groom or a way to get a hold of him. A year later, I finally see him splashed all over the internet—fighting with his brother at a Colorado airport.

So, what’s a showgirl to do? Put on my best heels, put my dog in a hand bag and go find my husband so I can end my sham marriage. But as soon as I arrive in Salt Springs, that plan goes out the window.

Ethan hasn’t forgotten me and the chemistry between us is real and explosive.

Now that I’ve found him he doesn’t want to let me go.

Was our wedding a Vegas mistake? Or a Christmas miracle?

This book is perfect to read around Christmas time.
Ethan woke up one morning in Vegas to Lexi not knowing who she was, before leaving he left his name and number and headed back to home to Christmas town. Fast forward to a year later and Lexi shows up. Ethan needs her help with Kringle Inn, but Lexi wants Ethan to sigh divorce papers will he end up singing them or will they be able to work things out for the better?
I love this book. I can’t wait to read more books from this author.

Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy
EPIC

This was a wonderful compilation of Christmas stories. I picked this one up because of L.J. Shen and Melanie Harlow. I have read their other books, so I knew that this was going to be a good one. I didn’t know that I was going to be reading this book and loving all the stories. The few chapters that we get from each other isn’t enough. I wanted more, I wanted to have all the Christmas moments with these characters. Since I got this book was because of the 2 previous authors that I mentioned. I have to say they were my favourites in the book. I did enjoy the others, but L.J. Shen and Melanie Harlow were my favourite ones.
I do recommend this book to people that are fans of these authors, even if you get it for the one author you like.
