When Jamie Andrews moves in with a house full of firefighters, things start heating up fast. Battling the wilderness of rural Montana, these guys are always charging into danger—for a living, for duty, for the rush—and since Jamie is a psychiatric nurse, they fascinate her analytic mind. She can’t help but fixate on Calvin, a grumpy, enigmatic smoke jumper ten years her senior. She makes playfully tormenting him her pet project, trying to get him to open up. It turns out he gives as good as he gets.

When something smoldering between them sparks, they’ll have to keep it quiet, which makes Jamie start to wonder about Calvin’s secret, the one he won’t explain. She’ll learn more after life pulls them apart. But as she follows the truth like a trail of flame into the dark, will it lead her to hearth and home with Calvin…or will it all go up in a blaze?

While reading Jamie and Fitz have laugh out loud shaking your head banter with instant chemistry. Fritz is a firefighter which intrigued me because I’m currently watching some shows that are firefighter based, seeing the other types and all the work they do is way more then I ever thought they did. Jamie is a traveling psychiatric nurse that moves in with a group of fire fighters in Montana. I was instantly hooked into there story. I can’t believe that this is the first book, it’s got you feeling every emotion they feel. This was an explosive first read in a series I can’t wait to see what the series holds.
Top Read for 2024.

I’ve crafted my new life in Ember Falls with two simple rules: maintain superficial relationships and always be ready to run.

But when my son’s incredibly hot hockey coach Miles Anderson walks in, things get very, very complicated.

With his charming smile and our accidental dates, he’s the exact opposite of any man I’ve ever dated. That should make saying yes to being with him simple, but nothing in my life is easy.

In fact, it’s a mess.

Miles makes me smile and treats my son like his own. When we’re together, I forget about my troubles and dream of a life that I will never be able to have with him.

It’s only a matter of time until the past comes knocking and I’ll have to leave, breaking us both in the process.

Penelope is on the run with her son. Everything that she does is to protect him. She’s a bad ass mom. Miles is someone that Penny wasn’t planning on meeting. The way that he was able to break down all her walls one by one and showing her that she deserves to be loved too. The chemistry they have is one that seemed natural, they have a special connection. Oddly enough I have to say that the way Miles was with Kai was one that’s going to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I can’t wait to see what happens on the next one.

From bestselling author Ilsa Madden-Mills comes a steamy novella about first love and second chances where a city girl returns home for a Valentine’s Day tradition…and the boy who broke her heart.

Roses are red, violets are blue—someone in Rose has feelings for you…

Yeah, bad ones. Everly Davis didn’t leave her tight-knit hometown on the best terms. It’s been ten years, but you don’t forget heartbreak like that. Then again, the anonymous invite to the annual Kiss Lottery in Rose, Tennessee, gives Everly content for her podcast. And she has a bone to pick with that old heartbreak anyway.

Beckett Whitfield has never left Rose—and he’s never forgotten Everly. He even named the villain in his latest bestseller after her. Turns out she’s not happy about that. Nothing about their reunion is particularly happy, and after the way they left things, what did he expect?

When the Kiss Lottery pairs them together, Everly and Beckett will have to confront old feelings that never went away and the secrets they never shared. But finally telling each other everything might be exactly what they’ve needed all along.

Everly gets a letter in the mail inviting her to a Valentines Day event in her hometown. After arriving her runs into her childhood best friend Beckett. Since the accident in high school, they grew apart and Everly moves to New York. Now that she has returned home, they can have the true ending they were supposed to have all those years ago, but the timing just wasn’t right for them. With this being a novella, I wanted to see more of them.

To the outside world, Taylor Hudson has it beauty, money and social status. But Taylor’s life is lonelier than it appears.

Levi is the inside man on a job to steal fifteen million dollars from one of the town’s wealthiest families, putting him on a crash course with Taylor. Neither of them believes in love, but lust… that’s undeniable.

Now they’re locked in a wicked game of seduction and it’s unclear who is playing whom. But neither of them expected the affair to lead to the deepest connection they’ve ever experienced. Because beneath Taylor’s perfect exterior lies a need for love that mirrors Levi’s own.

As the heist approaches, they both face the difficult decision of giving up everything they’ve ever known to save each other.

On the outside Taylor has all the beauty, money and social status, bit of a snob but when you get to know her, she’s actually not that way at all. Levi is tall, dark hair, dark eyes with tattoos, he grew up on the other side of the city. Levi gets a job at Taylors mansion they have an attraction to one another, but Levi pushes her away because he doesn’t want to get fired because he’s there for another reason. Falling in love wasn’t in the plan he had at all before getting the job. All in all this was a great read and wonderful addition to the series.
