New York Times bestselling author Corinne Michaels brings the second book in the Rose Canyon series with this small-town, second chance romance.

I am in the most inconvenient marriage of convenience ever.
What started out as two friends who wanted to make their military lives easier, turned into a mess.
Why? Because I stupidly fell in love with my husband.

In an attempt to remedy my mistake, I severed all ties and put my life as a combat medic and Emmett Maxwell behind me. I’ve lost too many people to open myself up to love.

Now I’m working as a private investigator, and fate has stepped in, forcing our paths to intersect again when I’m looking into the disappearance of a missing girl with ties to Emmett’s hometown. A case I fear puts his life in danger.

He gives me one week to prove my suspicions and then I need to sign the divorce papers and leave. The problem with that? The moment I see Emmett again, I realize how foolish it was to leave him, to think I could ever stop loving him.

When the case threatens not only my life but also his, I’m faced with my worst fear. How many times can a heart break before it shatters beyond repair?

We first get to meet Emmet and Blakely in Help Me Remember and since I have wanted to meet them and everyone in the series, it’s one of my favourites. This book made me feel as if I was watching a movie all cozy on my couch. Emmett and Blakely are amazing with one another they have hilarious banter and a connection that just seeps off the kindle. This book had left me in a sobbing mess this was suspenseful and full of twists with the odd curve ball, they go to hell and back, just to get their HEA and it was glorious. This is easily a top read for me because Corinne tells a beautiful story.

Once upon a time, Monroe Sinclair was Brodan Adair’s best friend, but now he’s a stranger and one of Hollywood’s leading men…

It took Monroe Sinclair eighteen years to return home to Ardnoch after a fateful night that devastated her friendship with Brodan Adair. She fled her unrequited love for him, as well as her difficult family life, and tried not to look behind her. Only a daughter’s guilt could lure her back to the Highlands and the assumption that Brodan Adair rarely ever sets foot in their hometown. She can handle seeing the rest of the Adairs so long as she can avoid her ex-best friend and the only man she’s ever loved.

Nothing is more important to Brodan than family, and only his demons have the power to keep him from them. For years, acting was something he was lucky enough to be good at, yet it wasn’t his priority—Ardnoch and his siblings were. But when a ghost from his past returned out of the blue, Brodan tried to outrun its haunting, taking him further and further from home. When exhaustion finally forces him back to the family fold, the last thing he wants is to encounter another ghost. But that’s exactly what Monroe Sinclair has been to him.

When a promise to his nephew obliges Brodan to work with Monroe, it forces them to face their past. The explosive connection that has always existed between them resurrects truths long buried. Yet, just when they might be on the brink of a second chance, the ghost from Brodan’s past finally catches up to him and threatens not just their happiness, but their very lives.

Monroe and Brodan were the best of friends but as you get older and move on they both leave town. Years later they come back to the beautiful Scottish Highlands and the spark they had all those years ago is still there getting ready to be lit once again. Brodan had been feeling this loneliness and longing to realize that the thing that he was missing in his life was finally giving in to his feelings to feel love again because he is tired of running. While reading this was a roller coaster of emotions watching these two get their second chance at love. I loved being in the Scottish Highlands and getting to meet the Adair Family.

The summer before fourth grade, Colten Mosley moved into the house across the street from mine, and we became inseparable.

He played the piano and baseball.
I had a penchant for dead things while at the same time imagining what it would be like to kiss Colten.
We were filled with curiosity and overly active imaginations.

We were also forbidden to be more than friends.
But that didn’t stop us.

Weeks before graduation, he annihilated my heart, and it’s been seventeen years since the day I knew I’d hate him forever.

Now he’s back in my life—a single dad and a homicide detective looking over my shoulder while I perform autopsies as one of Chicago’s most gifted forensic pathologists. Then fate throws us a curveball.

Colten saves my life, but he can’t erase the images that now keep me awake at night. And I can’t explain them.

Am I still the girl he’s always loved? Or nothing more than pieces of that life?

I have read some paranormal romances but this is the most emotional that I have been reading this genre. I didn’t think it was possible. Josie and Colton have known one another since the fourth grade they have had their share of ups and downs over the years but no matter what happened they are able to heal one another’s wounds even after all those years apart and heartache. This was a phenomenal read of second chance childhood best friends, I’m always a sucker for those.

A 90s nostalgia, friends to lovers novel from Melissa Brown, set in her Spotlight Video Series.

The year is 1995 and Marley Gallagher is obsessed with her new computer…and the guys she meets in AOL chat rooms—they’re the perfect escape from her introverted nature and strict upbringing. A townie, and a shy one at that, Marley is finally embracing a little independence as she moves into her first dorm. The chat rooms online offer her the chance to reinvent herself, and maybe fall in love in the process. The only problem is, she’s so focused on the guys on her computer screen, she doesn’t see the one whose right in front of her nose…her co-worker at Spotlight Video, Emmett.

Emmett Roberts has been in love with Marley since their first shift together. And it’s obvious to everyone but Marley. Not wanting to ruin their friendship, or make things really awkward if she turns him down, Emmett avoids asking her out in person. With a little help from his friends at work, though, he devises a plan to win her heart. But, when Marley discovers that her latest online love interest is actually her co-worker in disguise, will Emmett lose his chances with her altogether?

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of the first one and seeing this one pop up on my tablet I was excited to see because I grew up in the 90s and seeing all the references made me feel like I was back there, it was amazing.
Emmett and Marley are coworkers at Spotlight Video. They both like one another but neither one wants to start the conversation until Emmett and some of his coworkers come up with a creative way to start talking to her. Once the conversation started this turned into this adorable, awkward, cute read that had me smiling from ear to ear the whole time.

Return to Arrow Creek with Rhett’s story. An all new small town, single dad standalone romance by A. M. Wilson.

Rhett Senova could charm a woman out of her panties and in the next breath, thank her mother for dinner.

Smooth doesn’t even begin to cover his moves. But the hottest playboy in Arrow Creek wasn’t always this way.

He had dreams of a one-woman future, and the cry of his firstborn brought him to tears.

He never thought his wife would cheat on him with her boss.

Each day is a feud over the dream home he had built for his ex and learning to raise his young son without the jaded lens now coloring his world.

Starting over in his thirties isn’t on his agenda. Not now that he’s raised impenetrable walls. His ex left the sour taste of infidelity in his mouth, and he’s not sure he can trust anyone new.

That is until he meets a vision passing through town and nearly gets mauled by her she-demon dog.

Her sassy wit makes other women seem inadequate, along with those luscious curves and burgundy curls.

The fact she hides beneath her tough exterior that she might be in trouble sends up red flags he’d be smart not to ignore.

Using his charm to win over the pit bull is the easy part. The question is whether he wants to win over the guarded redhead too.

I loved being back in Arrow Creek.
Rhett is left to raise his son Tommy after his ex-wife screwed him over and due to that he doesn’t want to be in a relationship with anyone ever again. Even though he’s got a wonderful charm and wonderful dirty talk. My heart just broke for Rhett and everything that he had gone thought.
Evie has a tuff exterior due to her past, she’s strong and determined firecracker with an adorable dog named Ghost.
The journey that these two go on was beautiful and heartbreaking wrapped all up in a pretty bow. I didn’t want this to end.
