Every story needs a villain.
The arrogance. The conceit. The lone wolf.
Oliver Rossi is that person on the track.
And leave it to me . . . I’ve gone and fallen for him.

Rossi is his own worst enemy. He doesn’t care what people think or what’s expected of him. And he’s reached the pinnacle of his sport because of his bad boy ways.

He’s unpredictable and reckless on the track. He’s even worse off of it. After years of circling around each other, all it took was one night, one uncharacteristic act of chivalry, to know I wanted more with the man everyone hates.

Forget the warnings from my brother about his new teammate and the fallout from my family—he’s worth the risk.

With his job on the line and eyes always on us, secret trysts are all we allow ourselves.

It’s all fun and games until lust turns to love and for now begins to feel like not enough.

I want it all.
I want forever.
And I want it with Oliver Rossi.

But is Rossi willing to show the world he’s ready to move past his villain era so we can have our own happily ever after or will this whole thing spin out of control?

Oliver and Sophia are the perfect couple to end a series on and I think that they are my favourite couple out of all the books that I have read by Bromberg. A one night stand had changed everything for Sofia and Oliver. The chemistry, banter, love they have for one another is on fire. The driver and the artist will take you on a fast ride but also paint a beautiful picture that will take control of your heart from the start.

For years, tales of the Firefly Man were nothing more than elaborate rumors spread by residents in the Great Smoky Mountains.
Until the night Evelyn Vaughn stumbled upon a dead body in the woods.
Fear gripped her, and silence stole her voice.
All while she watched the boy she was with that night take the fall.

Fourteen years later, Evelyn is nothing more than a shell of her former self.
Her life moves like a clock, from one moment to the next, never a surprise.
Gone are the days of chasing fireflies through the woods.
Until her therapist goes missing and he’s replaced with someone new.
Dr. Lincoln Reed.
A devastatingly handsome single dad with an intensity behind his evergreen eyes that jolts her back to life.

Or does it?

Evelyn is quickly losing grip of the suppressed reality she’s worked so hard to live.
With every new session on Dr. Reed’s couch, comes a startling new revelation that has her past awakening like the sparkles of light she used to chase through the Appalachian woods.

The Firefly Man was supposed to be a rumor, a fable, a spooky tale.
But Evelyn remembers the truth.
He’s her very own phantom.
And he’s back.

This was mysterious, suspenseful with the added spice. I was totally hooked from the beginning getting to know Evie and Lincoln. Evie has had a hard life, her drastically changed fourteen years ago. When the therapist that she has been seeing for all her trauma disappears Dr. Reed comes to town to take over his practice. Watching Evie trying to figure ‘who’ it was that murdered her friend, there was twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. This was a great read and I can’t wait to see what other mystery suspense books Allen has up her sleeve.

My brother’s best friend might be a cocky wide receiver with an ego the size of Texas, but I did not mean to almost kill him with a ghost pepper. He did that all by himself.

Logan Murphy should come with a warning.
He’s as hot as a Carolina Reaper on black asphalt in the middle of July.
With perfectly messy dark hair and smoldering blue eyes—and don’t even get me started on the way that black tee stretches across his toned chest…

He’s my brother’s best friend.
He’s also a football star on track to win the first wide-receiver MVP in league history.
Good thing I only date golfers… or I did.
Good thing he’s only visiting for a month, because the more I see he’s not a player, the harder it is to block him from running away with my heart.

I’ve always loved football, but after eight years pro, everything about it leaves me cold.
So when I agree to head south with my best friend, the last thing I expect is to have my face melted off by his pepper-loving little sister.
Dylan Bradford was supposed to be a kid, not a feisty pinup who looks at me like she’s never seen a man before.

She’s all curves and cutoffs, bare feet dancing in the warm summer night,
But I’m only in town a month, and she doesn’t date football players.
Then late-night talks turn to sharing past hurts and future dreams, and shy looks turn to confident kisses.
The heat between us can’t be denied.

It’s spicy and sweet, and it melts us together.
Until the way we touch becomes more than friendly—it’s forever.

(THE WAY WE TOUCH is a small-town, brother’s best friend, sports romance with hilarious “accidents,” and a dirty-talking hero. No cheating. No cliffhanger. No third-act breakup.)

Dylan and Logan have a meet cute football romance. Logan is on his off season and agrees to go to his friends for the summer. When arriving he doesn’t think that he’s going to find love let alone in his friend’s sister Dylan. Dylan works/owns the family restaurant, as for dating she has sworn that she isn’t going to be dating football players except for maybe one she has a soft spot for Logan. Dylan and Logan are from different worlds but that made then connect more. Logan and Dylan have a chemistry that melts your kindle with all the ‘spice’ that in this one, the banter was amazing had laugh out loud moments. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

Best way to get rid of an evil ex? Plan a fake wedding with a gorgeous heartbreaker and let the small-town gossip fly. What could possibly go wrong?

Just when I’m about to inherit my family’s sleepy winery and bring it to life, my old-fashioned parents throw a wrench in my plans. Thanks to my ex, they’re convinced I can’t run it without a man’s business savvy, so they’ve made him my partner.

The only way out is to marry some other guy.

Dash Corbett comes to my rescue with a pretend kiss in a cowboy bar, and we devise a one-year plan that will help us both. Dash needs a reputation makeover, and I need a husband. Win-win.

And falling for my fake fiancé? Not a chance.

Dash might have a distractingly hot exterior, but rumor has it he’s a playboy–and I’ve had enough of men who don’t mean what they say.

Then I get to know him.

Beneath the surface, he’s a guy with his own vineyard dreams and a cinnamon roll heart. He’s the first man to see me as more than a social butterfly. And when he touches me, I melt like butter on toast.

Soon our pretend relationship starts feeling very real. Especially when he says “my wife” in a possessive way that makes me believe our lie.

Falling for Dash could ruin more than my wine country dreams. But what if I love him truly?

Love You Truly is a standalone, small-town romance in the Buttercup Hill series, where the wine is chilled and the men are hot.

Mallory is wanting to take of the family business yet everyone in her life is making the choices for her, she won’t be able to get the business until she gets married. Dash is wanting to help his family business as well, but he isn’t able to do it on his own. Mallory and dash have known one another since high school. One night there both at a bar and Dash comes her aid and says they are engaged. From there came up with the idea to get actually married so they can get their family businesses. Their banter is fantastic had me smiling the whole time. This had may of started off as a fake relationship, it slowly morphs into something they can’t deny. Dash is the sweetest guy my gosh. He’s my favourite guy in the series so far.

In the dazzling world of Hollywood where fame and glamour reign supreme, award-winning megastar Zachary Butler longs for something more than red carpet events and paparazzi flashes. As he navigates fame and tries to extricate himself from his celebrity ex-fiancée, he discovers an unexpected spark with Rowan Walsh, a production assistant on his latest project.

Rowan, haunted by a devastating moment in her past, shields her heart behind walls of guilt, letting no one in. But Zachary’s genuine affection and desire for a meaningful life begin to chip away at her defenses. As their connection deepens, Rowan must battle the self-destructive patterns that have held her back from embracing her passions and finding true love, while Zachary must reveal his own hidden scars—wounds he’s borne in silence for years—if he hopes to heal.

Can Zachary and Rowan confront their pasts to build a future together, or will the storms of scandal, tangled relationships, and the scrutiny of stardom ruin their hopes for a perfect Hollywood ending?

Falling Like Stars is a brand new, emotional standalone romance from USA Today bestselling author, Emma Scott, coming this summer!

I hadn’t realized that it had been so long since Scott had written a book. So, I knew that I wanted to read it. I forgot how much I loved reading her books. All In is one of my favourite books that Scott has written. Rowan and Zach have both be though so much. Rowan is a production assistant with the dream of becoming a costume designer; Zach is a Hollywood movie star that leaves his toxic relationship. They both have a lot of weight on their shoulders. They both may not be ready for love, that is until they see one another on set they have an instant spark and attraction. The banter was fantastic, how emotionally invested I got into knowing Rowan and Zach to know they are going to have there HEA they both deserve in a heartbreaking beautiful way.
This was a top 2024 read for me.
