This was mysterious, suspenseful with the added spice. I was totally hooked from the beginning getting to know Evie and Lincoln. Evie has had a hard life, her drastically changed fourteen years ago. When the therapist that she has been seeing for all her trauma disappears Dr. Reed comes to town to take over his practice. Watching Evie trying to figure ‘who’ it was that murdered her friend, there was twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. This was a great read and I can’t wait to see what other mystery suspense books Allen has up her sleeve.

Mallory is wanting to take of the family business yet everyone in her life is making the choices for her, she won’t be able to get the business until she gets married. Dash is wanting to help his family business as well, but he isn’t able to do it on his own. Mallory and dash have known one another since high school. One night there both at a bar and Dash comes her aid and says they are engaged. From there came up with the idea to get actually married so they can get their family businesses. Their banter is fantastic had me smiling the whole time. This had may of started off as a fake relationship, it slowly morphs into something they can’t deny. Dash is the sweetest guy my gosh. He’s my favourite guy in the series so far.
