A lifetime of doing as she’s told.

Belmira Tavares is a good girl. She doesn’t get into trouble or sleep around. She follows all of her mother’s rules, even the cruel ones. But everybody makes mistakes. Even careful, obedient Belmira.

One night of disobedience.

Her mistake is named Felix Ferreira. He’s handsome and charming and enough of a playboy that her mother will never approve. It was only supposed to be one night, one little rebellion before she resigned herself to living a life dictated by her mother.

But Felix wants more. He might want forever.

If Belmira is ever going to build a life free from her mother’s control, she’ll have to stop choosing the safe bet and choose herself instead.

SAFE BET is the first installment in an angsty, slow burn trilogy about two people who are perfect for each other—if only they can get the timing right.

This was an emotional read seeing the things that Belmira had gone threw. She was able to remain strong and be a caring person. Former bad boy Felix is a caring loving guy at heart. These two have a insta love story that has it’s bumps in the road that you will need to make sure of for trigger warnings. This book me reading on the edge of my seat then getting to the end going back and forth on my kindle to make sure that I didn’t miss anything. The cliffhanger was not one that I was thinking. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen in the next one.

After three years of dancing at the best club in Minneapolis, I’m forced to return to my hometown. Pregnant. Single. And my only skill is twirling around a pole.

I return to my old job, dancing with one goal in mind. To save enough money to provide for my child. But night after night, he becomes impossible to ignore.

Aiden Powell watches me from his front and center seat, his sharp blue eyes flickering in the strobe lights as he stalks my every move across the stage. The haunted look in his unwavering gaze isn’t the carefree man I remember.

I fight to defy the magnetic pull to dance only for him. Until one night, I let my guard down and chemistry sparks beneath his hands. Aiden pursues me with passion, while I build a fortified fence to protect myself. I’ve been burned before, and I’m not eager to feel the pain again.

But when a serial stalker begins targeting dancers, Aiden decides I’m not safe on my own. He shows up on my doorstep with a packed bag and his battle-worn cat, determined to make his presence known.

This relationship is supposed to be fake. A ruse to keep me away from the interest of a deranged man. Too bad my heart fails to receive the message as Aiden begins to show me the real him.

People in little clothing hardly catch my eye, but there’s something about Aiden in a towel that softens my defenses. And when he admits I’m the first woman he’s ever been with? He spells out exactly what he wants with no room for error—Me.

But I should know better than to let my walls crumble. Because when that stalker sets his sights on me, Aiden’s determination won’t be enough to keep me and my baby away from harm.

Isla has come back home after getting fired from her job as a dancer and boyfriend wants nothing to do with her when he found out she was pregnant. Aiden is avoiding his family living day by day. The only time that he feels at ease is when he’s at the club watching Isla dance. When the sheriff comes to the club to warn to the girls that there is a protentional danger Isla and Aiden have come to an agreement, to keep Isla and her baby safe they agree to start a fake relationship. The relationship they have great chemistry, they have some bumps in the road, they were able to navigate though to get their HEA.

On the outside Taylor has all the beauty, money and social status, bit of a snob but when you get to know her, she’s actually not that way at all. Levi is tall, dark hair, dark eyes with tattoos, he grew up on the other side of the city. Levi gets a job at Taylors mansion they have an attraction to one another, but Levi pushes her away because he doesn’t want to get fired because he’s there for another reason. Falling in love wasn’t in the plan he had at all before getting the job. All in all this was a great read and wonderful addition to the series.

From USA Today bestselling author Rebecca Jenshak comes a standalone fake dating sports romance. This steamy, grumpy / sunshine football romance delivers a swoony and emotional happily ever after.

Brogan Six’s fan mail has been filling my mailbox for weeks. With every lipstick covered letter I receive, my irritation with him grows. And let’s not talk about the time I accidentally opened one of the packages to find someone had sent him their panties. Gross.

When I come face-to-face with my new nemesis, I expect to give him a piece of my mind and we’ll go our separate ways. Me to an empty mailbox and him to sift through his panty collection.

That is not what happens.

I don’t know if it was the booze, his clever wit, or if I was tricked (I’m sure I was tricked), but now I’m fake dating the Mavericks’ hot new rookie.

And I might just be the next woman to lose her panties to Brogan Six.

Playbook is a standalone fake dating, grumpy/sunshine sports romance with banter, found family, spice, and a guaranteed happily ever after.

I can’t believe that I’m about to say this about a book that I have read by this author, but I have to say that this was a DNF for me which is shocking. I’m not sure if it was just the way the story was being told?, the mood I was in? I’m not sure. Regardless this was a DNF at 28%.
