When we first meet Alice she seems like the evil one and I wasn’t really a fan of her’s but now reading this I have a better understanding. Alice had an abusive childhood and was jealous of her older sister. Sam is a single dad because the one he had a kid with wants nothing to do with them until one day she comes back and has crazy demands. I don’t want to give away too much about this book. I will say that this was more about believing in yourself and knowing your worth. That’s all a lesson that we need at some point in our lives.
