It wasn’t love at first sight. That would be too easy.
I can tell you all the reasons Paige and I shouldn’t be together.
But love overlooks a lot.
My heart doesn’t care that I’m ten years older.
There’s no age gap in how she makes me feel.
My heart doesn’t care that she’s a single mother.
It just makes more room.
My heart doesn’t care that she’s got secrets of her own.
It’s used to keeping mine.
The moment I laid eyes on Paige, I lost control.
Control of my desires. Control of my secrets. Control of my heart.
Right or wrong, we’re going to have to fight for our happily ever after.
And I don’t plan on losing.

This book was a beautiful Disney Cinderella-esk type of book.
Page is a single mom who will do what it takes to take care of her five-month-old son Finn. This leads to a handsome man named Slade and the moment they met he felt an instant connection with her and wants to help protect her, So Slade hires her to look over his ranch in Tennessee. As they get to know one another they are able to get to know one another and see their heart-breaking stories of their past.
I have read other books by this author, with this one I had a hard time getting into. Once I did, I flew through it. I can’t wait to see what this author has next.
