When I left this town, I left behind a piece of my heart. I did it for us. Enlisted in the army, served overseas—it was all for a better life. A life she deserved. A farmhouse with a white picket fence, a dog, kids—the American Dream. Going home to her has always been the plan. I just didn’t anticipate any other reasons for escaping this sandpit.

I am just loving all the books that this author is putting out.

This is an emotional military book which I loved. It had all the ups and downs, dealing with love, loss, heartbreak and being able to heal after all that. I was sucked right into the book right away and didn’t want it to end. I just wanted it to keep going.

With the previous books that I have read by this author, I didn’t think she would write something this beautiful. The fact that she did I’m blown away.

This is a book that everyone needs to read.
