Summary:
Heartbreakingly beautiful and devastatingly annoying, Timaeus Lambros, a deaf, former military translator, has just been assigned as my co-teacher for the rest of the school year.
His stupid-hot face gets on my nerves.
So does his well-fitting jeans.
Charming and gorgeous men like him should not be teachers. They should be locked away in a storage closet… with me.
But that’s just a teachers’ lounge fantasy with a big dreamy sigh attached.
Tim and I can never be a thing. He’s broody and closed off, while I’m the new owner of a one-way ticket back to Costa Rica, thanks to budget cuts.
But my Abuelita always said life wasn’t a fairytale. So even if Tim does have a magical tongue and a dreamy body, we still might not get a happily ever after.
My Thoughts:
Kristy has this nak for writing books that makes you feel all these different emotions within a matter of a few pages. All these books can be read as a standalone but why would you want to when you can fall in love with all the men in her story’s.
Tim was one of the stories that I was dying to know about. We get snippets in the pervious books but that wasn’t enough for me. I needed to know what had happened to Tim.
Tim is an ex marine and feels like he has lost everything. He knew that he would end up fully deaf at some point the realization of it was hitting him hard. His friends and doctor want him to get out and get a job so that he’s not always cooped up at the house. Once he gets a job its not an easy thing for him at first. When he arrives, he is in his own world even though his new family has his 6.
Milah is a teacher to 5th graders and she needs to have to job so that she can stay in the country due to her Visa. When she meets Tim as her class helper, she is slowly able to break down his walls and able to see a side of Tim that I was excited to see. She was a sassy woman that was perfect for Tim.
Milah and Tim couldn’t be more opposite from one another, but they are one in the same. There story had me laughing one minute and the next I was on the verge of tears. Then back to laughing again. I am so excited to see what Kristy come out with next I can’t wait to read it and fall in love with her leading characters.
