Summery:

There are only two things in this world I give a shit about.

My beloved piano, and
the music I create with it.

Except a year ago, the music in my head disappeared, and I now live in a world of silence.

Until my gaze lands on her.

I don’t know who she is, but the moment I lay eyes on her, a symphony begins to play and the melodies ricochet through my mind.

She’s my inspiration. My muse.

Mine to take. Mine to keep.

Forever.

*This is a dark romance and contains elements that may be difficult for some readers.

My Thoughts:

I was able to read this book in one sitting. I was truly compelled with Damien’s side of the story. He’s a famous composer but he has been struggling for years to write music. Until one day he sees Avery.
Avery’s parents have forgotten about her since the passing of there son. Since then she has her routine of going to school, working at the bookstore and home.
One day when Damien is out, he sees Avery and the music starts coming back to him instantly. But why? He knows that she is the cause of this so he kidnaps her and takes her to his home so that she can be around him and he can make his music again.
Damien and Avery both have damaged pasts, they come together in an unusual way.
This was my first book by L.K. Shaw, and I enjoyed this story, I do love a good dark romance. I’ll be looking into other works by L.K. Shaw in the future.
