Summary:
Stevie Colvin’s rules are simple.
Don’t bother to learn anyone’s names. (Why bother if they won’t be around tomorrow?)
Keep things light and fun.
Be an equal opportunist to all sexes.
And no one becomes long term. No relationships and none of those pesky things like feelings can enter. Especially with a sexy supercross rider, who is as much a player as she is.
From the moment she met Christopher Singer, he seemed to get under her skin like no one else could and made her feel things she hadn’t in a long time. Something she will not allow. Only one person has gotten past Stevie’s layers. But even Jaymerson doesn’t know the full truth about the darkness and demons which haunt Stevie’s past…the ones she has pushed far down. She wants to ignore every detail of the devastating loss and horrifying night that almost took her life.
When an incident brings Stevie and Chris back together in the same town, their past and present crash into a struggle of grief and horrendous tragedy.
Stevie needs to decide: handle the pain and break every rule she has, which might shatter her for good or choose to protect herself and run from it all…
*There is sexual content and some trigger-sensitive topics.
My Review:
It has been a few days and I’m still in awe of this book and how much it made me sob like a new born baby now that its been a few days since I finished this I hope that I will be able to do a better review then the one that I did initially right after finishing this. So here we go. If I could give this book more then 5 stars, then I would.
Stevie aka Gypsy and Chris aka Tarzan aka Ape-Boy have this unbreakable bond between them. They have also had there share of heartbreak both for completely different reasons. They both try and not admit to there true feelings but really it was only a matter of time before they did and oh my. There story is one of the most emotional stories that I have read. It made me cry so much and I loved every damn second of it.
Stevie is someone that I would love to be friends with. Chris omg Chris I just wanted to dive into this book and give him a hug.
I loved that we were able to see the people from the previous books and how in the beginning of the books we were able to see just how badass Stevie was and that doesn’t stop in this one. She is still as kick ass as she always was.
One of the things that I loved about Stevie was that the people that she had slept with she would remember them by referring them to Disney character’s, I love this because it’s a genius idea but also because I’m a huge Disney fan.
This book can be read as a standalone, but I think that it would be best to read the previous books so that you can get the feel for all the character’s in the story
One of my favourite quotes from this book was “Not only did you find your equal… but he found his” – Grandma Penny
