Summary:
On a day that
started like any other…
Mia had everything: a loving family, a gorgeous, adoring
boyfriend, and a bright future full of music and full of choices. Then, in an
instant, almost all of that is taken from her. Caught between life and death,
between a happy past and an unknowable future, Mia spends one critical day
contemplating the one decision she has left—the most important decision she’ll
ever make.
Simultaneously tragic and hopeful, this is a romantic,
riveting and ultimately uplifting story about memory, music, living, dying.
My Thoughts:
By the end of this book I was sobbing and watching the movie didn’t help either because I knew what was coming. The ending killed me.
Mia is a high school senior who wants to play at Juilliard. She is very close to her parents and brother. Her boyfriend Adam whom she has been with for little over a year is also a musician. (Love books that have musician’s)
One morning Mia was supposed to go to school but she ends up finding that it was cancled due to the snow on the ground so her parents and brother take a road trip and come to find that there is an accident on the road and that’s when her life gets completely upside down when she realizes that the ones in the accident was her and her family.
We follow Mia as she is going through limbo in the first 24hrs of the accident and when the ending happens and Mia’s grandfather was there talking to her that’s when I started sobbing. Even thinking about it now writing this review I’m getting the chills. Gahh.
This is an emotional story and I loved every single minute that I read it and watched it. I know that I will be reading and watching this in the future.
