Summary:

Everything about Jessie is wrong. At least, that’s what it feels like during her first week of junior year at her new ultra-intimidating prep school in Los Angeles. Just when she’s thinking about hightailing it back to Chicago, she gets an email from a person calling themselves Somebody/Nobody (SN for short), offering to help her navigate the wilds of Wood Valley High School. Is it an elaborate hoax? Or can she rely on SN for some much-needed help?

It’s been barely two years since her mother’s death, and because her father eloped with a woman he met online, Jessie has been forced to move across the country to live with her stepmonster and her pretentious teenage son.

In a leap of faith—or an act of complete desperation—Jessie begins to rely on SN, and SN quickly becomes her lifeline and closest ally. Jessie can’t help wanting to meet SN in person. But are some mysteries better left unsolved?

My Thoughts:

This book followers a girl named Jessie and she has to move across the country from Chicago to LA because her dad has gotten re married. Her first day of school didn’t go as well as she had planned and she get this anonymous email from somebody named SN = Somebody/Nobody ( I like this dynamic of the story ) This unknown person helps her with all the questions about the school and they even help her become friends with one of the girls at the school and told her to stay away from certain foods in the café because of certain reasons.

One of the things that I loved about this book was that they knew one another but they didn’t really know one another. I loved the mystery behind it, even when she thought she had it figured out she didn’t. There were 3 guys that it could have possibly been and the one that I thought it was in the beginning, I was right in the end. Did that make it predictable? Maybe but it was still a great read to see how Jessie figures out who SN really is.

Also one of the things that i enjoyed about the story was how SN and Jessie kept telling one another 3 things as a way of getting to know one another, until they meet in person.

I would recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a light hearted read.
