Summary:
Bishop Royal is a sleaze. He’s a cheat, a copycat, a bastard. He knows what you think of him and he doesn’t care. All he cares about is his best friend, Jake.
Jake Ellis has loved Bishop Royal for sixteen years. He’s been by his side through everything: deaths, hardships, and triumphs.
When Bishop’s life is pulled out from underneath him, he figures with nothing left to lose, it’s time to tell Jake how he feels.
Under pressure to be the picture-perfect boyfriend and his father’s perfect son, will Bishop fold or go after the only thing he’s ever truly wanted?
My Thoughts:
This is the first time that I have read a book by Megan and I loved it. This is also the first time that I have read a MM romance book an I don’t think that it could have gotten any better. I was a little sad that I was able to read this book on one sitting. I wish that I made it last longer. This book was more about Bishop than Jake. Which I was fine with. Bishop he is always trying to get his fathers approval when really, I can understand but at some point, no. Bishops dad is a jerk to say the least. Bishop also deals with sex, drugs and alcohol when his life gets flipped upside down. He gets fired from his BMX team among other things. To see him fall a get back up again was truly heartbreaking. Jake and Bishop I enjoyed how there friendship turned into a romantic relationship. All in all, I enjoyed this quick read. If you’re into MM books then I say you should defiantly pick this one up. With this book being the 5th in the series I was a little worried that maybe I might be missing something but I didn’t feel like that and I loved that. Because sometimes reading a book in the middle of the series you can get a little confused.
