Zoey, High Priestess in training, has managed to settle in at the House of Night and come to terms with the vast powers the Vampyre Goddess Nyx has given her. While danger stalks the humans from Zoey’s old life, she begins to realize that the very powers that make her so unique might also threaten those she loves.

My Thoughts:

I am a little frustrated with this series, but I still pulled though because I wanted to finish the book. My main issue was that the writing was bad. I thought that it was getting better but it didn’t.

When I first started this series, I thought that it might be something like twilight, but I was completely wrong. I am only giving this book 2 stars because I thought that I was going to connect with the characters more being the 2nd book but that didn’t happen sadly.

If you’re a fan of vampire books, then you may like these. What also really annoyed me was the way they spelled vampire with a ‘Y” like why you would do that. I already mentioned it in my review of the first book marked, but it annoyed me so much that I had to say it again.

I also felt like the premise if the book was pretty good, kind of like Hex Hall but Betrayed was just not good at all.

When they were talking about food an drinks I got annoyed with them saying brown pop… why did they need to clarify what colour it was? Couldn’t they just say pop/soda? Like other authors. I’m not entirely sure why it bothered me, but it did.

Its kind of sad to say that this book remined me of a car crash that you want to look away from, but you can’t because you know that it won’t be the same if you do. So, you must look so that you know what happens. Ya… this book was like that.
