Summary:
When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.
Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.
My Thoughts:
I have reviewed and deleted my review for this series because I just don’t know what it says really. I found my self writing about what I disliked about it then liked but I couldn’t find a happy medium. So, I think that this is the last time that I’m going to review this and what ever comes out, comes out.
I read this book because at the time it was extremely popular, and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
Christian is an extremely wealthy man who is also mysterious, I was very drawn to him as a character. I was often wanting to hang out with him just so that I could get to know him.
Ana… where do I begin with her. I found her to be likeable in the beginning of the book but once it went on I kept getting more an more annoyed with her.
Some of the scenes in the book seemed to take longer than normal to get through (maybe just me)
The sex was also alright in the beginning but as it went on it seemed kind of childish in a way.
All in all, I did like it but at the same time I didn’t because Anna was someone
