I read this book a few year ago when this book first came out so my memory on it might be a little hazy but let’s see what I can remember shall we? I felt that this one was the perfect book to get into the mood of summer and all that is great about it. It also took me by surprise because I did know that I was going to be so much of a fan. The is also the first book that I have read by Jenny Han and it was good.

This book is about a girl named Belly. Her whole live was about summer because she always went away with her mom and every summer to see her friend Susannah (or that’s her mom’s name?) and Belly got to see her sons her best friends Conrad and Jeremiah. Belly was a little annoying at some points but not like some characters that I have read. Conrad is kind of dark and mysterious. Jeremiah is the funny one I was always looking forward to seeing what he as going to say next.

Belly gets out of the car an walk over to Conrad and Jeremiah and the first thing that they notice I that Belly s turning into a woman and there not sure how to deal with it. Belly has always been in love with Conrad and I can sort of see the appeal but not really.

I did read this book in a few hours because it a light and easy read.

 

I give this book a 3/5 stars
