I just finished reading this last night and by the time my review for this goes up it will be a few days later.
This book is about a couple named Christian an Ana (made me think of 50 shades more than once) lose their baby named Henry and it ends up destroying their marriage. There’s a saying that says, “Home is Where the heart is” and what happens when that disappears?
Christian loves Ava more than anything, she was his first love and her best friend. With the loss of her son Henry she starts to shut Christian out. She stays locked in her room and doesn’t eat or the food that Christian brings her. They both start drinking all the time. There is a certain point when Christian has enough and enough and he decides to leave an go on his boat to sail across the ocean, to give Ana the peace that she finally needs or so he thinks.
After Christian leaves, they communicate over e-mail. They also do journal entry’s they are the most honest that I have read.
This book is one of the most honest books that I have read in a while. It is so heart breaking, raw and real. You can feel the loss that Ana and Christian are feeling. This book will defiantly pull on the heart strings. I have a daughter and I can’t even imagine losing her.
I give this book a 4/5 stars
