Oh boy oh boy. Where do I even begin to think of a logical review, I read this book ages ago and I still think that it is fresh in my mind. It doesn’t want to leave I think that it wants to stay forever. Either way I’m happy.

So, let’s get down to business, shall we?

This is a contemporary read that I think will always love. I have read it a few times now and I enjoy it ever time, although I am hoping that the ending will change even though I know it won’t happen. Can always hope, right?

This book made me cry and I love books that can do that. When that happen, the author is really connecting with a reader and they are connecting with the characters in the story.

Now onto the Characters Hazel is a 16-year-old who is fighting a terminal illness and despite that she’s still got a since of humor because she knows what’s coming but she doesn’t want to get to close to any one because she knows the outcome and doesn’t want anyone else to have to deal with that.

Augustus had cancer a now has a prosthetic leg because of it. Now Gus is a very charming and loveable character who meets Hazel in a cancer support group.

Hazel gets Gus to read to read a book that she is obsessed over and after reading it they get in contact with the author and make it their mission to get Hazel to meet him so that she can know the ending to the story. The thing is, is that the author lives in Amsterdam and with Hazel being sick she must get permission from her doctors to be able to go. She gets the Ok to go and she couldn’t be happier that she’s finally going to meet the author and find out what really happens in the end. And since Hazel already used her make a wish, wish. Gus uses his to help Hazel out. HOW sweet is he?

Gus and Hazel are so incredibly cute together. I love their relationship “okay” will be our always. How can your heart not melt at that?

Now the ending of the story I know I’m skipping some details here and there but I got the gist of it right? Any ways THE ENDING…what?!?! How can something like that happen? Gus and Hazel wren supposed to love happily ever after a have tons of babies Gus wasn’t supposed to die! And that letter she read at the end after Gus’s funeral was just killer I couldn’t handle that. It was all too much to take in lol.

All and all I give this book a 5/5 stars.
