To the Stars By Molly Mcadams

I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this book. I’m at a loss for words. At times it was hard to read, it was gut wrenching and at the same time you didn’t want to stop reading because you wanted to know what was happening good or bad. I did have to put the book down for a day so that I could work up enough courage to keep reading.-

This book is about and abusive relationship and the way that things happen there really intense . You feel Harlows pain and suffering it’s basically jumping off the pages.

The main characters are Harlow and Knox. They were 15 and 18 when they first met outside a party and it was love at first sight.

Years later she is trapped in a violent marriage she tried to leave in the beginning but that made matters worse.

Knox then happens to stumble across Low at a café and didn’t even recognize her at first because he thought she was really sick because of how skinny she was. From this moment on Knox does everything he can to help Harlow get out of her marriage. Knox is such a hero in the story it’s hard to love him and feel his pain with the things that he went through also.

Ok… Now back to Collin I don’t even know where to begin to talk about him. Harlow says that he’s a monster and that just being nice IMO but she says that he’s “her” monster and that just angers me so much. I also Have to say what he did to her is just unfathomable. Every time that he got mad or angry and took it out on Harlow I could feel my skin crawl. His actions got worse as the book went on. He also deserved what he got but not nearly as much as I would have hoped for.

I will definitely not be forgetting this book anytime soon.

I have to say also that there are relationships out there that are like this or worse and it does get better you just need to talk to someone who is willing to listen.
